Alex Miller, Carol's son, has been seeking justice for his mother since her death on February 1, 2003. According to her husband, Carol left their home in the Canyon Gate Country Club for an afternoon walk. Her body was discovered two days later in a desert area near 215 and Far Hills, and she had been strangled.''
''Grimmett emphasized the importance of solving the case not only for Carol's family but also for the community's safety. He noted that the case has "forensic value" and that there are evidentiary items that can be tested.
