''LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Las Vegas detectives are revisiting the unsolved murder of Carol Miller, a 58-year-old woman who was killed 22 years ago.
The renewed investigation follows a recent news segment that brought fresh attention to the case.
Alex Miller, Carol's son, has been seeking justice for his mother since her death on February 1, 2003. According to her husband, Carol left their home in the Canyon Gate Country Club for an afternoon walk. Her body was discovered two days later in a desert area near 215 and Far Hills, and she had been strangled.''

''Grimmett emphasized the importance of solving the case not only for Carol's family but also for the community's safety. He noted that the case has "forensic value" and that there are evidentiary items that can be tested. However, he stressed the need to locate crucial witnesses, including past employees of Canyon Gate from January to March 2003.''

''Carol Miller’s body was found 2 days later in the desert near I-215 & Far Hills, nearly 5 miles from her home.
According to the autopsy report Carol had been strangled.''
Alex still wonders if it was a crime of opportunity.
His mom was found without the jewelry she had been wearing.'

“They said they found her dumped at a construction site under a couch. She was under a couch,” he says. “And the only lead they had was the person who discovered the body said there was a white van driving the other way, but who knows if that's the person.”

The case did have what I call forensic value. There were things of evidentiary value we were able to test, but before we move forward, I've got to find some of my crucial witnesses and folks that have information,” he said.
Police are specifically looking for past employees of Canyon Gate — anyone who worked there from January 2003 to March 2003.''

“It's just I want to thank the police department. They're still trying, I know they're still trying. They contacted me and check up to see if I have new information, but they don't give up,” he said.
Anyone with information about the murder of Carol Miller is asked to contact Detective Grimmett at 702-287-2581.''
