I've not heard any new information on this case. How sad is that.....someones baby ends up in a dumpster and no one knows who she is. I still have no positive or negative confirmation on my tip.

I received an email from Nevada Child Seekers telling me that they passed the tip on to LE. Should I call the Las Vegas PD? Also, I called AMW, and they were less interested in my tip. NCS was very interested, and said it could be nothing but with all the factors considered, it was very worth checking out. The guy who answered the AMW phone wouldn't even let me finish talking, and just said "that's a long shot". He didn't seem to want to hear what I had to say.

On this kid, any shot is worth checking out. I would call LV PD. Just to make sure they recieved the tip, and so that you can give any info they might need on last known location, the fact that you have pictures, etc.

I'm very sad to hear that AMW said that about your tip. They didn't take Tracie Dean seriously either when she phoned in the tip about the little girl she saw in the convenience store in Alabama a few weeks ago. Very sad. Sounds like their frontline people need better training on taking tips from the public.

My heart breaks for this little angel that some monster just threw away like she was garbage. I pray that they find her identity soon and find the monster that did this to her.

Sweetheart, thank you so much for passing your tip along. I don't care if it is the longest shot in the known universe----and it doesn't sound like such a long shot to me----you are a child's best advocate. Call the Las Vegas PD, you will rest knowing you have done all you can. And shame on AMW for poo-pooing your tip. They should really know better. It's the long shots that pay off.

I think the Unidentified girl does have a strong resemblance to Natalia Vega. Same eyebrows, same chin, same nose, same hairline and shape of face.. although a bit thinner.

The UID girl does not resemble the first link (Cassandra Sanchez) in my opinion the eyebrows and nose are too dissimmilar.

I lost contact with the person who's child I think this might be. I have no idea who to contact to find her. I gave Nevada Child Seekers her last known address and her birth date, as well as the few last names she has been known to use. Part of the problem is this....she is bipolar and, last I spoke with her, she had gone off her meds. At that time, she became increasingly more erratic when I would speak with her, then completely dropped off the face of the earth for some time. I use classmates.com alot since I am planning a class reunion (she is not part of the class), and I looked her up recently to see if she gave any hint as to where she might be. She had changed her child status from having one child to having no children. This really bothered me. I discovered that a few months ago. This coupled with the fact that she was living with the baby's father, who was an illegal from Mexico, and four of his illegal friends. She really has no family to speak of, and she lives quite far from me. All I can do is hope that LE takes this tip seriously if they haven't gotten a solid lead so far and at least tracks her down to verify that her daughter is alive and well.

That child status change is troubling and combined with the illegal boyfriend and his friends LE needs to follow this up somehow. I'm thinking maybe they have tried and can't find her nor do know if she is even alive and what happened to her child.

Police are working 40 new leads in the Bay Jane Cordova Doe case. It's been a month since the girl was found dead in a dumpster at the Villa Cordova apartments near Eastern and Karen.

Police say the 3-year-old was beaten to death. Authorities have received more than 800 tips in the case and are following up on each one with the hope of identifying the little girl.

is there a chance you could ask her local LE to do a well-being check on her since you are her close relative (cough..) and she has mental illness and you are concerened and not able to reach her?? just a thought...

I think that you are right. I was trying to picture this little girl with short hair. I didn't compare her to the first picture that came out of the little girl in the dumpster but to the second pic because from my understanding the second picture is a real picture of her with just a little cleaning up.

I don't think the little girl looks to be 4 yrs old though. To me she looks a lot younger but maybe not. It would be worth LE checking out Natalia. The resemblence is so strong.

ITs the LONGSHOTS THEY NEED FOR GOODNESS SAKE OTHERWISE THIS WOULD BE SOLVED. I could understand if this child was from overseas or something but California is right next door. Good lord that's awful.

If I were you I'd be persistent and MAKE SOMEONE Listen!!! Who knows, this guy at AMW might not even have punched in your info. Call back again and again. NOTHING is a longshot.

LE can get change of address info as well as telephone records etc. from the name and last known address and it would help a lot too if you know her birthdate. They can probably come up with a ss# from that info as well and dmv if she drives.
