Jennaleah has been missing since December 30th when she left her home after an argument with her parents. She is a straight A student, never ran away before and has never been in trouble.

If she has her phone my bet is she is with a friend or someone she met online (not good). I think she will be found ok if she keeps her wits about her. Being seen in the city is both good and bad...

Very sad news... :(

Upon arrival, officers said they discovered a woman’s body that matched the description of Jennaleah “Jenna” Hin, who had been reported missing on Monday. Family members said Hin had left her home after an argument with her parents Monday night without her phone or any money.

... based on initial findings, law enforcement officials said there appear to be no signs of foul play.

On her way out of the home, Hin said something to the effect of: “You don’t have to worry about me anymore,” according to Mark Speer, a commander with Red Rock Search & Rescue.

I wasn’t expecting this outcome.

How very sad.

Oh no, very sad. I really had hopes for this case to turn out ok. Didn't know about the statement she made as she was leaving though. That puts a whole other layer to the outcome.

Looks like she was found here "in the desert area of Desert Sunflower Circle and Spanish Needle Street" according to the article at the bottom of this post.

Here's a LINK to the pic/map above so you can see how close that area is to houses.

I wish kids could know that one argument is just one argument. She had so much to live for. It’s unfortunate that so many crucial decisions are made at an age before they are developmentally mature enough to make decisions that will affect their forever.

I can't seem to find mention of exactly who last saw her - just 'family members'. Anyone seen this anywhere?

Jennaleah's biological father, Hina Hin, is expressing anger over the circumstances of his daughter's suicide. Hin learned about his daughter's disappearance from her mother. At first, he thought Jennaleah had run away with friends and would come back. But, when Hin learned about his daughter's suicide note, he traveled from San Jose to Las Vegas to help look for her.

Hin revealed that documents from Henderson Police show that Jennaleah stole the gun used for her suicide from her stepfather after they both had a huge argument.

really would like to know the gist of the argument... LE said it was a typical teen/parent argument but what? car? friends or a party the parents did not approve of? seems it was important to J

How do they know the scene wasn’t staged?

The article says her stepfather is a police officer. His gun should have been secured. How was it available for her to steal?

From the article:

Documents Hin claimed to be from Henderson Police said that Jennaleah stole the gun used in the suicide from her stepfather, a police officer. Jennaleah’s stepfather noticed the weapon was missing after the teen disappeared, according to the documents.

It is such a tragic situation.
