I'm going to guess that if she initially fled but then turned herself in, it was probably an accident as opposed to being intentional. I have to wonder if the driver was under the influence though. Prayers for all involved.

She turned herself in at another casino to a security guard? That is what I read earlier. Very sad for the innocent people.

Jeez, 7 are also in critical condition and she actually stopped at one point. People were chasing her and yelling at her to stop and she started accelerating again.
""I saw a lady, she didn't seem like she wanted to stop the car, she had both hands on her wheel and she was looking straight forward." ...

""The car rolled right in front of me. By the time I looked over to the right, all you could see was [her] driving away and people were bouncing off the front of the car, you can hear it," Nassar told the affiliate. "The windshield is smashed at this point. She rode the sidewalk, she came to a stop at the Paris intersection, people are punching into the window ... she accelerated again and just kept mowing people down."

press conference - not terrorism

36 hit, 6 critical, 1 dead

not determined if it was intentional or accident yet

initial feeling is possibly intentional

they expect to have multiple videos of the incident

vehicle hit people then left sidewalk, re-entered sidewalk and hit more people

toddler in car with driver, 3 years old unharmed

has not been determined if drugs/alcohol involved

driver may have been at an event in the area for some time, do not think she is from there

may have recently moved there, vehicle is not from Nevada

press conference over

From Presser - Lots of cameras in the area. Looking at it as "possible intentional"

(so sick of this stuff)

From presser: Initial investigation - 2 different times she went up on sidewalk - 2 locations. Planet Hollywood and by the Paris Hotel. Driver of vehicle, don't know if injured, had toddler in car, 3 years old - unharmed.

From presser: Police asking for witnesses to speak to them. They have 20 plus witnesses but knows there were hundreds that saw it.

From Presser: Someone just said she is not from Las Vegas. Only here for 1 week. May have just moved here. Vehicle not registered in Las Vegas (didn't catch make/model of vehicle - sorry)

ETA: 1996 Oldsmobile?

She was probably afraid to stop where the accident happened, fearing for injury to her child and herself. I HOPE it was an accident and not on purpose as is being suggested now. What a horrible thing to happen.

There were 2 separate accident scenes. She went up on the sidewalk at 2 different areas to injure people. I don't think it's an accident. One scene, yes. 2 scenes, doubt it.

She drove almost a full city block hitting people, 2 different locations. One hotel was Planet Hollywood, other one was Paris Hotel. I'm not good at maps or I would post it.

This is very similar to that odd woman who drove into the College Homecoming parade a few months ago. So tragic and weird.
