LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Glendene Grant has only memories of her second oldest child.

"What I miss the most about Jessie is the sense of humor. She loved to dance, joke around, play pranks," Grant said. "I didn't get to see a 30, 40-year-old Jessie. I don't know what kind of woman she would have been."

Grant has been looking for her daughter, Jessie Foster, since March of 2006.

Through tears that time can't stop, she said, "You're seeing 17 years of coping mechanisms."

The 21-year-old Canadian woman disappeared after her mom says she was sexually trafficked throughout New York and New Jersey, then ultimately lured to Las Vegas, where she was last seen alive following several prostitution arrests.

"We know that Jessie had been beaten, that Jessie was being forced into it," said Grant.

Now, 17 years later, the bombshell arrest of suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann has brought her daughter's cold case back into focus as police agencies in three states hunt for more possible victims.

"I just hope they get all the evidence they need and put him where he belongs," Grant said.

Jessie’s mother, Glendene Grant believes he could also be responsible for her daughter’s disappearance. “There is more likely a chance that this could be a connection to Jessie than a lot of the [other cases] because he did use escorts, and he was in Las Vegas in 2006,” Grant told CFJC News. “He’s a very powerful man, he’s a big guy. So the more I think about it, the more I can convince myself that it’s not.”

Heuermann is currently charged with the killing of three women and is the main suspect in the death of a fourth woman. Heuermann has not been linked to Jessie’s disappearance but did have ties to North Las Vegas when Jessie was living there,

Grant hopes his recent arrest will shed some light on what happened to her daughter. “I hope that this it, I hope we finally have someone that’s gonna be accountable,” she said. “I hope that once he’s gone and convicted he’ll be just like other serial killers who just sat down and broke the dam about all their victims.”

Yesterday would've been Jessie's 40th birthday. She has been missing for 18 years, 1 month, and 25 days.

I come from Jessie's hometown. I was a young girl when she first went missing. This story has stayed with me for 20 years. I hope her family gets answers!

The Vanished Podcast just released an episode about her disappearance.

21-year-old Jessica Foster, known to those close to her as Jessie, disappeared from Las Vegas, Nevada in late March of 2006. Jessie was far from her home in Canada, and her family didn't really know the ins and outs of Jessie's daily life in Sin City. They had last seen Jessie in late 2005 when she returned home to visit her loved ones for the holidays. She didn't seem quite like herself, but her family couldn't quite pinpoint the changes in her demeanor. Her once-vibrant spirit seemed to have faded, raising quiet concerns. In March, her family lost all communication with her. It was later revealed that her journey to Las Vegas was far darker than anyone had known. Nearly 19 years later, Jessie's family continues to search for the truth behind her disappearance, hoping to uncover the story of what happened to their beloved daughter and sister.

If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Jessie Foster, please contact the North Las Vegas Police Department at (702) 633-9111 or the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at (702) 385-5555.

There must be another thread on Jessie Foster.
Looks like one for under Jessica Foster and then this one Jessie Foster. I have a daughter also named Jessica and we call her Jessie.

Looks like they need to combine both threads.
