Authorities are asking for help to find a 78-year-old man reported missing Thursday in North Las Vegas.

Police say Joel Hardin went missing around 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, from his home in the 6100 block of Marvin Street.

Joel suffers from Alzheimer's disease and needs medication, according to North Las Vegas Police.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt with blue jeans, driving a 2014 tan Kia Sedona minivan.

Joel Edward Hardin, 81, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on November 7, 2021.
He was born on August 26, 1940 in Rome, GA to Columbus F. and Mary Ethel Hardin. He later grew up in Columbus, OH.
After graduating high school he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He served his country for "4 years, 7 months and 2 days" as he would say. Joel married is his wife of 55 years, Jane Craig in July 1966, and to this union they had two daughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Columbus and Mary Hardin; brothers, Charles and Chris Hardin; and sisters, Ida and Ethel Hardin. He leaves to cherish his loving memory wife, Jane Hardin; daughters, Belinda (Earl) Davis and Stephanie Hardin; grandchildren, Brianna Manson, Elijah Williams, Olivia Hardin, and Ellis Hardin; sisters, Francis Braughton of Atlanta, GA and Tina Song of Statesboro, GA; brother, Will Hardin of Brunswick, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at St. Phillips Chapel, 1130 Mercer Ave., Akron, OH 44320 at 12:00 p.m. where family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
