Kathy and her brother Kirt won a bike decorating contest in Del Rio, Texas in 1971. I'm confident this is her as Kathy would have been about 14 at the time and the 1971 article has her as an eighth grader. I also looked up Kirt and he lives in Las Vegas, NV. So Kathy is originally from Texas.
