I am not a pro at what I am about to say, but taking the Hydroxycut and being preoccupied with loosing the weight... I mean, just based off correlation here maybe there was that feeling of "You caused this" towards her daughter? I dunno, again I am not a pro and do not claim to be. I do however know a lot, a lot a lot, of gym rats.... most of them DO NOT have children -- and have explained to me at great lengths why (they love their bodies/their lifestyles too much).

From what I have read from her Facebook, she seemed to be a loving mother, a caring mother. There are pictures of a happy child. Halloween, Christmas, Kyla's birthday in January. DS also seemed to be devote. There are numerous posts about God being her guide.

"Something" seemed to have happened since January that made this woman become a murderer! I don't claim to know what that change was, but in my opinion, something went very wrong in the last few months. I shudder every time I think of Kyla's last moments. A mother that has always loved her, suddenly becoming the monster that lives under her bed.

I pray for this baby. I hope she has found peace.

This sounds like a pure, drug-induced psychotic break to me. With Hydroxy cut and other such chemicals, the goal is to induce weight loss which means something is in them to speed up the metabolism. If a person had a bad reaction or underlying mental illness that was sparked by the medication, the result could be catastrophic.

I very much agree. I had a friend who tried diet pills in college - over the counter pills. It was a very, very bad situation. She truly did go crazy. We ended up stealing them from her and flushing them down the toilet and luckily we were able to talk sense into her. I can only imagine how bad it could have gotten if she'd taken them for a prolonged period of time.

METH. There was a woman in Gillette Wyoming who killed her babies by cutting off their heads to let the "real Babies" out, because the voices told her that children were aliens. This was in the early 1980's. Her hubby came home and found the heads in a garbage bag on the porch, and the babies or baby laying in the crib, while she waited for the aliens to leave so the real baby or babies could grow their heads back.... still gives me the willies.
So, I think that all Meth heads should be given their drug, but locked up in a room filled with OTHER meth heads. Sorry, but I have seen it happen too many times with that drug, sent straight from the devilllllll. GAHHHHHH

Incredibly, the mental hospital where she is confined was considering giving her supervised release in 2010. They dropped the request shortly thereafter. She is still at the Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston.
