The scarcity of information on this one is a bit strange because he was a patient at a Las Vegas hospital before he died and there's no height or weight estimate, no photo, no fingerprints... However, he had balding brown hair and a few very specific tattoos that could help identify him if somebody is missing him.

Right shoulder had "Shirley Burke"; Right bicep had "Josh"; Right forearm had "Justine" & "Robin"; Right hand had a star; Right foot had a flower (rose) "Shirley Burke"; Left shoulder had a skull and crossbones; Left bicep had 2 hearts; Left knuckles had "L.O.V.E"; Left thigh had a heart banner;

There is Kieran Burke who had balding brown hair, (it's listed as black but looks brown to me in the photo FWIW), age is within range, no info about tattoos. He went missing in California 4 years before the UID was found and the circumstances suggest he got lost in Yosemite Park but I suppose it could be some kind of illegal immigration scenario (he's an Irish national).

I like the suggestion of Kieran Burke -- was he ever submitted?

Yes, please, someone should submit Kieran Burke! The tattoos alone (since we do not have any pictures of the man) make it a great possibility, IMO.

His exclusion list on NamUS is stil empty. Has Kieran Burke been submitted?

This evening I submitted Kieran Burke to Dustin at NamUs, in addition I submitted it to the Missing Irish. Let's hope for the best.

Las Vegas coroner used to list UIDs in their webpage. They don´t do it anymore.
I used the wayback machine to look at their last UIDs list (from 2008). At the time this man was not listed.
either the hospital was lazy sending the data or the papers got lost somewhere. Hard to imagine that a photo was not taken and height and weight not recorded.

With so few data is difficult to find anything. I searched NAMUS and DoeNetwork for burke, josh, joshua and Robin with no success.
My guess is this man may have been married to a Shirley Burke and his kids are named Robin and Justine. Josh can be his name or the name of his son.
I was not lucky searching for a shirley burke with relatives named Robin, Justine and Josh in US databases.

I wonder if they're still trying to do a comparison of Kieran Burke. Did Dustin ever reply to your email?

Yes Dustin responded the very next day. I submitted his response above your post back in 2018.

So I am guessing it was not Kieran Burke. Keiran is most likely lost in Yosemite Park.

Okay now we're cooking I just sent it off again and told him he is now in NamUs, the tattoos, the 3 kids...etc. Will let you know what he says.

TY for your efforts! I wondered why he wasn't listed as an exclusion. It's great that you're bringing him to Dustin's attention again. Hopefully they'll list him as an exclusion if he isn't a match.

This person now has a sketch courtesy of Stephen Missal alongside 25 other Las Vegas cases spanning from 1984-2025: also further clarification of circumstances and a correction to the discovery date.

"04-06315: John “Palm” Doe
This white man was found outside on Aug. 26, 2004, and brought to an area hospital. He is estimated to be white and between 40 and 55 years old. He was located with “multiple non-professional tattoos,” according to the coroner’s office. Some of the tattoos included the names “Shirley Burke,” “Josh,” “Justine,” “Robin” and “Rose.”"

There is a discrepancy between the new article and his NamUs; NamUs describes a tattoo of a rose flower while the article says the tattoo was the name "Rose".

This is his entry in the brand new Clark Co. unidentified remains webpage under 2004-06315:

I noticed that several people above who participated in the thread circa 2014-2018 were confused about the lack of details and assumed that investigators simply didn't know/lost info. It's clear now, as in many cases, that this info was always available and known to law enforcement and just not shared on NamUs (it may have even been shared in bulletins/news articles at the time of discovery which just aren't online). I bet there's still more details which haven't been publicized too; we know for a fact there are pictures of his tattoos which aren't available to the public.

Whether this is due to investigative interest/confidentiality or general apathy, I can not say.
