That makes me wonder if there would be any reason to visit that particular city other than the prison. Just a hunch, of course, not based on facts that we know at this point.

Has it been confirmed there is no history of CPS involvement or previous charges against mom? I agree it’s really strange if a person with no history just kills their child and leaves him.

I don't know if it's fully confirmed but as of yesterday there was no known history "at this time".

I doubt Victorville had anything significant to do with the case or why she stoped there. It is just one of more populated cities out in the desert from LA area to Vegas. Same with Barstow.
