That poor, poor baby boy. Just reading that headline brought tears to my eyes. I can't imagine how hellish his last moments were.

My 6 year old has additional needs, albeit of a different nature to little Liam. I am his entire world- the only person he really trusts. I can't get my head around this, it's absolutely heartbreaking. It wasn't a snap decision, it wasn't a moment of madness. Any second of that 15 minutes she could have stopped, but she didn't.

I will be following this trial. I have to know why, as much as it's possible to ever know why. Was it to rid herself of a burden? Was it something directed at the dad? Was it, in her mind, some kind of mercy killing?

if I recall correctly, she met the man she was having breakfast with in Denver a few weeks beforehand. (Internet?) A newspaper reported that she had make up on when she was arrested. It sounds to me like she was planning a new life and poor Liam didn’t fit into her plans. Why couldn’t she have just left him with his dad who obviously loved him?

“Samantha indicated that she pushed Liam causing him to fall and hit his head,” the investigators told the grand jury. “She said that she also fell during this process and then after Liam fell and hit his head he started screaming, top of his lungs, louder than she had ever heard him scream before and she wasn’t so sure how to stop him from crying. The things that she had tried in the past to calm him down weren’t working and now he’s been injured by falling and hitting his head so he’s screaming at the top of his, as she describes it at the top of his lungs.”

“Samantha indicated that she had watched television crime shows and thought that by removing his clothing, it would make it more difficult to associate him with her after she left the area,” the investigator told the court.

Hiking? Las Vegas desert? It was 97° on May, 28, 2021 in Las Vegas.

I am calling that out. No one is stopping in that remote area, to go "hiking", when it is 97°, especially with a child!! With a disability.
