You are welcome, it's been years since I flew a little plane (my last years were all airline captain flying before I took a job with the feds). Since Trish and I never got around to verifying me after I sent her my creds (that case was resolved) I try and just share what is public knowledge, but I'm always open for questions privately on the processes involved.

Nye County confirms plane found, access delayed until spring due to harsh conditions

The family of a missing Las Vegas pilot is asking for the public's help in the continued to search for

UPDATE: According to Sheriff Joe McGill with the Nye County Sheriff’s Office, authorities located the plane but have exhausted all possibilities of getting to the site.

He says that a helicopter won't be able to get to the location near Mount Jefferson for several weeks or maybe until the spring.

McGill noted that the difficulty in getting the plane is due to extremely rugged terrain and lack of trails.

It is also believed that the pilot is in the aircraft but that won't be able to be confirmed until authorities can reach the site.

A body that is believed to belong to a pilot who was missing for weeks was found Tuesday.

Michael Martin, 65, was recovered from the Mount Jefferson area northeast of Round Mountain, according to Nye County. The discovery comes weeks after his plane was initially located.
