According to preliminary information from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a homicide investigation is taking place in the 3700 block of West Flamingo Road, near Dean Martin Drive.

Details are still limited at this time.

Homicide Lt. Robert Price is expected to share more information during a media briefing scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

We will update as soon as additional details are released.


Avoid the area if possible and expect a heavy police presence.

Oh my God it’s so heartbreaking. It’s sad that people that wanna commit suicide, have to take others with them. If they wanna go, they can go alone, why do they have to take innocent people with them. Such selfish and cruel people. May God rest that child soul. Love and prayers to their family and loved one. 🙏🏼🤍

I was reading that her ex and his new wife were causing all kinds of trouble for she and the little girl. Absolutely devastating that this is the only way out the mother could see.

WTAF? I was NOT expecting it to turn out this way. This is just bizarre. Why would you do it this way, on a trip, just before a competition, that no doubt both were looking forward to? This is just so sad. Did Tawnia have any other kids?
