I wouldn't think transported by a carrier so much as recently arrived and still being prepped. Maybe he's the dude responsible for driving the new vehicles to a car wash and detailing them for the showroom? Or something like that?

Even though this is not apparently the 2022 model, it could be a leftover 2020 or 21 vehicle being sold as new. In that case, it wouldn't have any license, as it technically hadn't been sold. However, the shipping manifest must have easily identified vehicle information and VIN. It shouldn't be difficult to pin down where it originated, where it was heading for sales, and the shipper/ driver. This would not take 11 days to figure out, unless the driver (potential perp) could alter the shipping documents to make this appear to be a different vehicle.

She had a 1992 car, it's not a big deal. Maybe in the US, but not where I live. If you take good care of a vehicle, it won't break up on you "out of nowhere", generally. Just because she has an "old" car, it doesn't mean it was a piece of junk.

I don't think she was taking the shuttle because of her car, it's literally the smart thing to do. Why drive to work if you have a free ride? If I had to be up at 5, I would take the ride too and just use the ride to work in the shuttle to rest my eyes. She was also saving up on gas.

That is a good point. My only hesitation is that I have to believe that LE has to know every dealership within 100 miles that has a new blue Silverado sitting in its lot. Those dealerships must have cctv, right?

In the new photo released by LCSO asking for information on the 4 door sedan, I also see three other vehicles in the parking lot.

1. A small light colored car parked in the second row
2. A silver pickuptruck with a canopy, also in the second row, the next slot over from the white car
3. A pale colored vehicle in the left background facing the front of the building ( which I assume is Naomi's vehicle)

As the newly-identified vehicle drives in these are clearly visible to the left side of the entering sedan.

However, in the perp-walk, there are two cars visible at the far end, in the FIRST row, up against the building curb, not the SECOND row, as seen in the new video, and these two other vehicles are not seen. The vehicles seen in the perp walk would be to the right of this vehicle, not to the left like the photo:

It is interesting that the police release describes the driver of the unknown car as a "suspect", not a "witness". I suspect this may just be poor word choice, but LE may know much more than we think.

I wonder if the shuttle riders have a designated parking area in the Wal-Mart lot. It would seem logical that shuttle riders would want to park close to the location where the shuttle actually stops. It also seems reasonable that Wal-Mart would not want the riders to use the prime parking spots.

The date the night before was probably just a regular date, but the sequence of events reminds me of the Heather Elvis case. The sexual harassment issue is interesting, but I suspect the individual(s) involved would have already been checked out by LE.

No, that is not correct about the new press release referring to the driver of the car as a suspect. They say that the 'suspect' walks in the headlights of this car so they want the driver to come forward.
It's possible the driver saw the suspects face.

I think LE (esp FBI) would be able to get ahold of all the DMV records for the states west of the Mississippi River and sort them by make & model registered, too.

Could be, but I would assume the night shift wouldn't get back until about 06.30hrs.

In manufacturing, companies don't like their machines down for long breaks, and the nightshift would have to finish at about 04.45hrs to leave the building, get on the shuttle bus and do the journey in order to be at the Walmart at 05.30hrs.

.....and I don't know many places where the nightshift finishes before 06.00hrs.

I think once the 05.30hrs shuttle bus leaves Walmart and drops the early morning staff off at Panasonic about 06.00hrs, it'll bring the nightshift finishers back then.

My car is 26 years old and I have always driven old verhicles.
Trust me at least once a year something's up. I've had jammed breaks, blown tires, exhausts that came loose, window wiper troubles, a timing belt that came off, leakages and about 20 other things over the years.
Some of which happened on the highway, at night or at places where you do not want something like that to happen.

I'm not criticising Naomi, I'm just a bit surprised she drove a 30 year old car, given that her parent's work for the gouvernment and at ambassy's (so there is a big safety aspect involved and she had been living a restricted life due to security reasons).
I assumed her parents have a decent income and that there would still be some risk that Naomi could be targeted because of her parent's work. So they might have wanted her to drive something else and helped her out in that regard.

IIRC, she was just learning to drive. Maybe her parents felt an older vehicle was a more thrifty purchase, in case she had fender-benders.

When he walks up from hiding at the far end away from the Camera. He walks towards the camera when the other car pulls in. Was he possibly targeting them and then backed off when he seen them. Police need to sit in that lot in the am and watch the cats roll in. And see if that car comes in.

But it looks like he is targeting that first car before turning around and stand at the bushes. Also I didn't see her vehicle pull in does someone have a video of that.

My father used to transport cars, sometimes across the country, for a dealership. He used his own vehicle and trailer. He did this as an independent contractor. I think you would have to search dealership by dealership, rather than by shipper.

If the suspect transported cars for a living, he could use it for this crime without putting many miles on it at all and it would be a bit harder to connect the vehicle to him, though not impossible if the right people are aware of the case.

Any chance that some of the white areas we are seeing on the truck are not just reflections from the sun, but protective wraps put on vehicles being transported by a carrier? Not very likely, but a lot of us have talked about how clean the truck was for such a dusty environment and LE does not seem to be able to narrow down an owner. A brand new truck wouldn’t have an owner yet.

Especially the back part where the rear window is, it looks like there is extra hanging off the side of it. Could be reflection but it does make you wonder.

We just had a 2014 BMW shipped to us from Arizona to the East Coast, we were able to track the car whenever it was turned on through a BMW app that we had synced with the car. The technology is definitely available, but I don't know if there is a way to access that type of information based on only knowing the model of the car.

I would look at dealships that sold one in the past 6 months to a year in the general area first and then work my way outward
