That was a really great find Knox! I say definitely report it. It can’t hurt. I have contact with Naomi’s brother, is it ok if I send it to him as well? Just want to make sure it’s followed up on. Especially bc I think you have a good point about it possibly being another Panasonic employee parked there for the shuttle. It could’ve been someone who worked with her previously, but may no longer be employed there.
Please do!

I think you should. It looks like the same truck to me and others here. Part of me thinks that if the truck belongs to a Walmart employee, surely someone would have recognized it and reported it before now, and if belonged to someone riding the shuttle, again, it would have been recognized by someone else who parks there daily, but the truck looks too much like the vehicle in question not to be reported, imo.
Are we talking about just a regular employee though for either Walmart or Panasonic? That truck is not cheap.

I'm still watching, but Gray did his fancy work early in his show and, based on the shadow aroung the truck, determined his truck was in that area appx 10 hours later--3 to 4 pm. If he's right about that, she could be anywhere.:(:(:(

Gardenista.
If the suspect was still knocking about in the truck around 10 hours later, what would motivate him to do that? Particularly in view of the fact he'd left Naomi's vehicle parked in a spot where it could be easily found

It could be either. I understand your thoughts, and agree, but I have seen people that lived in what I considered little more than shacks that were driving very expensive cars, or people with crap cars driving around with $2k rims and wheels. People have different priorities, and if they are putting the bulk of their paychecks towards an auto, they could own such a vehicle. Also, I doubt that the average Walmart employee makes a high wage, but Panasonic probably has several levels of employees, and perhaps pays reasonably well. JMO

That walk seems like someone will recognize it. Its almost a step kick. Ypu can see it better towards the end when he's actually walking rather than sauntering around.

If the parked truck belongs to a Panasonic employee, I wonder which shuttle they caught/what times the shuttles run?

If I'm understanding you, Gray's theory is they were with Naomi's car the whole time, he came back to his truck, got out of Naomi's car and got in his truck.

He also mentioned it could be that it could have been a plan between her and Naomi for him to take her somewhere so she could go off the grid. The problem with that theory is her brother said she looked afraid in the video he of her being abducted.

The prevailing theory among locals, based on that same kind of information about the fence, is that that footage is from cameras at the Sherwin-Williams plant. LE still hasn’t stated exactly what it’s from or why they are on the lookout for the truck. But they have stated that all of the businesses in the area have provided them with all the surveillance footage they have. And the only business in the area with that kind of fence with that viewpoint is Sherwin-Williams. But, again, that’s just speculation at this point and not fact.

What makes me curious about the picture of the truck is the time of day. Bc when Naomi was abducted, at approx 5 am, it was still dark out. Which is verified in the video that was released today. But in the picture of the truck, it’s completely light out. The Walmart and the Sherwin-Williams plant are like a mile from each other (if that). So, in hypothetically imagining a scenario, if the suspect had gone directly to Sherwin-Williams and put her in the truck and left her car and then that photo is of him leaving the area in the truck….it’d still be dark out. So if it’s light out, then what time of day is it? How long were they in her car? And how long did he have to take her somewhere/potentially do something before dropping her car off? And, of course, those are just questions I have about that hypothetical situation bc we still don’t know for sure how the truck is related. But it just seems the most likely reason LE is interested in the truck is bc it’s connected with her car IMO.

Also, where Naomi’s car was found, is a pretty open area. It can even possibly be seen from the freeway (as stated by someone who was at the search today). So why did they leave it there? There’s plenty of other places nearby they could’ve left it where it would’ve taken a little longer to be found. But it was just sitting right there. Did they want it to be found quickly? Or were they just in a hurry? So many questions.

Also, idk if these photos have already been posted so I’m sorry if they have, but I just saw these in one of the groups and they’re photos of Naomi’s car when it was found. So you can see just how openly visible it was.

Interesting question about the timeline regarding the truck and daylight. That looks like a very long shadow on the truck. Was it around 6:30 - 7 AM? Maybe someone local can give a better idea. Police can certainly figure out the time based on shadow.

It's a good question: if she was abducted at 5 AM, and the truck appears to be at the location of the car after 6:15 AM, what happened in the hour?

Was the car left there a day later? Do we know when the car was left at Sherwin-Williams? We know when it was found. She wasn't reported missing until Monday (disappeared Saturday), so the car was located within a day of her reported kidnapping.

Did he determine that the truck is driving East? I'm not familiar with the light/shadow in that area, but if sunset is at 6PM, then 4PM is possible.

Hypothetically, the suspect could have parked his truck near the location where Naomi's car was found. He abducted her, took her somewhere, 10 hours later he drove her car near the location of his truck, left the car, drove home in the truck.

Hiding the car doesn't seem to be a priority. I doubt he expected his truck to be tied to her car. She hadn't been reported missing at that time, so he was perhaps fairly confident that he was in the clear.

Off grid? Why would she do that? She had a great life so far - living in various countries, graduated from private school in South Africa (instagram grad photos), taking a gap year, keeping in contact with friends in their time zones ... what's to run from?

That is one unusual walk. Bit like someone walked in the old black & white movies? I wouldn't be surprised if he's faking that walk (if he's clever), to throw LE off the scent?

If his map is oriented with N at the top, yes the car is heading East.

Not sure but her brother said last night in his interview with Gray that there was a lot of stuff he didn't know about her. Stuff she told his GF, but his GF never told him. Brother's comment was something like, "whoa, I didn't know that." Gray asked him if that stuff was related to the case and her brother said the police are looking into it.

I've been trying to understand the timeline for a few days - the daylight and shadow, unable to figure out whether she was abducted in her car, or immediately transferred to his truck and then taken somewhere else.

If it is true that the truck is travelling East, where sunset in the West is creating the long shadow (sunset is at 6 PM), then it makes more sense that she was taken to another location in her car and the suspect collected his truck after leaving her in that location.

That makes this a classic example of returning to the scene of the crime - in this case, to collect his vehicle. He should have switched vehicles at night, after sunset, to prevent identification of his vehicle.

So my next question is: if he dropped off her car at roughly 4 PM, did he have to be somewhere at 5 PM? Why did he risk switching vehicles in daylight when CCTV could capture his vehicle colour, make and model?

If she wanted to go off-grid, she didn't need anyone's permission. She's 18 years old and her parents live in South Africa. We've heard that her father fortunately has access to her bank accounts so her last movements could be tracked. If she wanted a separate bank account, no one would stop her. If she wanted a separate phone, again, no one would stop her. If she wanted to move to another city, also her right.

Thanks for the link, but the video is too long for me to watch.

Police have said that there is evidence of a crime in her vehicle. Based on that, I'm doubtful that this was some sort of staged vanishing act.

Many of you wise sleuthers
will know this answer & help clarify

I’ve read every post and still not understanding the shuttle portion?
Why didn’t she drive her car to Panasonic and park in employee parking?
I’ve never heard of this except at airports
