Wondering if this helicopter may be searching?

If he knows that, there certainly must be video or still pics of the truck that are far clearer than we have been able to see from what has been publicly shared. And if the back window is seen well enough to discern that it is sliding or retractable, there is the likelihood that the license plate was able to be read as well. If so, LE may know who the truck belongs to by now, and may be tracking the truck and perp, in an effort to see if it leads them to Naomi. JMO
Let’s hope so, @SteveP. Going back to the photo of the truck that LE did share with us, why that photo of that truck? It was daylight and Naomi was abducted while it was still dark. It was headed east in front of Sherwin Williams, away from where Naomi’s vehicle was found. LE knows when this truck passed by this location, but what made them single this truck out? Do they have Naomi’s vehicle on video going east at this spot followed shortly thereafter by the truck heading west? If the abductor took her away in her car, returning later to drop off her car and retrieve his own, that was likely caught by the same video.
Once LE had the ping that led them to the recovery of the vehicle, they would start reviewing the tapes from the closest videos to that location at the time of the ping. This would allow them to really narrow down the vehicles in the area.
The other thing that strikes me is that the perpetrator seemed to know that the victim would not be missed right away. If he knew she was going on the shuttle for a 12 hour shift, he may have figured he had that much time to take her away, secrete or dispose of her, and return her car to the area to pick up his own vehicle before anyone even knew she was missing. He was taking a very big chance returning her vehicle to the area from which she was taken. The fact that it was left near but not right at Walmart might mean he was being cautious about video cameras but he still needed to retrieve his own vehicle.

All together, this seems like someone with deep insider knowledge. It’s incredibly brazen to kidnap her in her car and then drive her very recognizable car right back to within a block of the kidnapping site 11 hours later! In broad daylight! He had to be 100% certain that no one was looking for her or her car. Likely related to the 12 hour shift timing.

But wouldn’t he worry that her work alerted people that she didn’t show up for her shift? If he was so confident about that makes me wonder if he had her call in or text in sick that Saturday?

This is not a model. This is a muscular person that must work out a lot.
The gait is really odd. Looks like a prosthetic lower left leg or something. Like the left ankle is unable to bend and stays in a 90 degree angle. Something is definitely up with the lower left leg.
Maybe a veteran with a leg injury.
Knows how to be stealthy, well trained/muscular, seems prepared, well organized, planned out, would know how to use a gun, how not to be traced, looks clean, big truck.
My bet is military background.
I don’t think he’s a model. I was just agreeing that it looks as if he puts on foot in front of the other as he walks which is something I was taught in modeling school. I definitely do not think he is a model.

Her brother is a veteran, in his mid 30s I think? So a year ago an attractive teenager comes to live with him out in the middle of nowhere (his sister of course). I wonder if there is a connection with someone in his veteran network who took notice of his sister.

Good thought, @WestGL, but I think her brother mentioned in one of his statements that there was no call in or notification of a her being a no show that day. He stated that he was listed as her “person to notify” on her work papers. Naomi lives with him and her parents live out of the country.

He also said Chevrolet have narrowed down the model to 2021/2022. Also, chrome handles, which he said was a dealer-installed option.

he actually released that information yesterday but due to TOS here it couldn't be used i guess but yeah, painted bumper not chrome but chrome door handles and a rear window of some sort 21/22 model

fear? thinking if she did what he said he wouldn't hurt her with whatever weapon he had (or made her think he had)

maybe it wasn't the 'right' thing to do but when confronted with that shocking situation, she just did what her instincts told her to

(ITA with other comments though, it really would be better to be shot on the spot than slowly raped and murdered at their leisure, but who knows how you'd react until in that situation)
I would totally freeze in shock and fear. I know this because I avoid any kind of confrontation like it's a plague...

As I read the part about the homeless camp, I gasped. My worries for Naomi went through the roof. The suspect doesn't "look homeless" looking at the vehicle and clothes, but most people would be uncomfortable in a homeless camp that time of night. I'm worried that he was planning this and was aware of surveillance, as he is wearing his hood.

Today I'm thankful our car always locks the doors after a minute or so, whether we are moving or just sitting there.

Nothing good ever comes from a second location. As counterintuitive as it may seem, refuse to go even if it means certain death.

Possibly even look into employees who might work at Chevy dealerships. They have the ability to borrow cars & return them, before anyone notice’s. I did notice, on google maps, there’s a Chevy or dodge dealership nearby.

I respectfully disagree. I worked at a dealership for many years. You can't just check out a car whenever you want. Insurance, liability, etc. Most dealerships have very strict key control systems in place.

It would, however, be a good idea to look at the local dealership to see if the vehicle had been purchased there or had been serviced there.

Naomi’s brother, Casey gave us some good nuggets last night on Gray Hughes. And Gray gave Casey some great ideas. I’m posting the segment again so you don’t have to search for it. It’s in the beginning of this video where Casey is on. (only for about 30 mins or so)

I’m not great at sleuthing but I think there are hints sprinkled here and there to answer some questions.

So according to her brother in the Gray Hughes interview, her car pulled in the lot as the suspect was pacing that yellow line. Then when we see him stop and stare in that direction, her car was parked in the spot. So it definitely seems he was specifically waiting for her. I know most of us felt that way already, but for me, this solidifies it. Like he knew the approximate time she would arrive each morning and was just waiting for that to happen. IMO if this was someone just wanting to rob/kidnap anybody and no one in particular, there were already other cars in the lot, and the one with the headlights on most certainly had an individual in it, so why wait specifically for Naomi unless she was targeted.

I also tend to agree with Gray's theory that the kidnapper drove her somewhere else immediately from the Walmart lot (rather than just spending ~10 hours with her by Sherwin Williams), did whatever he did, left her somewhere else, and then returned for his vehicle. The only thing that makes me go "hmm" is that, why wouldn't he wait to get his vehicle/dump hers after dark so he had less chances of being caught/captured on a good quality video, etc? However, as someone else in this thread hypothesized, maybe he had somewhere he absolutely had to be by 4 or 5, so he had no choice but to go get his vehicle. He seems familiar with that whole area, so maybe he knew it wasn't well-traveled and wasn't that concerned with someone spotting him. And/or he was just brazen and figured even if his truck was captured on CCTV that it wouldn't end up being tied to this. Luckily, it was.

Her brother said there should be a press conference today or tomorrow to discuss more details about the blue truck. I just checked the Lyon County FB page as well as the local news stations and nothing as been announced so far.

At that timestamp it's not Casey on the phone. It's one of the channel members.

I personally feel that the truck was stolen prior to the crime for the purpose of the crime.

That is my feeling too. It appears they have quite a bit of info about the truck and would have owner's info, at the very least.
