"[The bones] were found while hiking in the area of Lone Tree Drive, off Lakeside Drive." - I'm guessing they were found around the Ballardini Rach Trailhead area.

"The remains were "very old" and bleached."

Well, her last known location is Reno Sparks
Indian Colony, 10km or so Northwards of Reno
... but NamUs also informs us "Enrolled with
Washoe Tribe (Carson Colony, Dresslerville Colony,
Woodfords Community, Stewart Community and
Washoe Ranches)", so maybe she caught a ride
going to some of those places south of Reno
and got murdered. The bones discovery locale
is southwestwards of Reno.
