Somebody is going to call me out on this, but that's what we're all here for. I have some thoughts that have been swirling around in my little brain.

If SK drove to RV hoping to catch AN at her family home, however her plans were changed....than SK spent all that time driving home to St. George...a lot of time to do some thinking....he goes about his routine...buying gifts, etc, but still driving around with more time to think. Any possibility that he was thinking that AN's change of plans meant that she was coming to Las Vegas, and he decides to drive to Las Vegas to search for her? His cell phone pings were all over the LV Valley. This is where my thoughts get garbled....why would he be in SCA? And, what on earth would he say if/when he found AN in the LV area?

I know this seems really far out in left field, but this whole case is out there with me. Please be gentle when you all pounce on my crazy thoughts. lol

gsmith made some interesting, and IMO important statements....thank you gsmith!

not exact quote: According to LV cell tower pings Steven was all over the LV Valley.

Steven's dad thinks it was a criminal act by a particular group, and he thinks the police are investigating.

Someone in St. George knows why he went to LV. Who did he meet there who had ties to Las Vegas?

How interesting! What makes him say that? Did LE or the PI suggest this to him? They must have. What kind of group do you think?

When I lived in San Francisco there were small posters pasted all over light poles and such, offering jobs. I guess they were tele-marketing or some such nonsense. They said you could make an outrageous amount of $$$ per month. I thought they were a total scam. But I'm sure hard-luck people answered these & worked for them.

The only problem is: Steven's cell records don't seem to have any calls that aren't accounted for. He must've met someone that led him to Anthem.

bbm

Maybe one of those calls did lead him to SCA. Someone that it was not unusual for him to talk to, so the number was familiar.

Take a look HERE.

You can see the search area. Zoom in on it, making sure that you've got the green arrow in the center of the screen -- then look at what it is.

That's where I'd be searching next.

What is it? All I see is a bunch of dirt!

Paulette, We're both questioning what particular group would perform a criminal act? I even just went to my husband, and asked him to brainstorm with me.

The job scam is very interesting, and I know others have discussed this on the thread. Yet, the job scams posted on the light poles, etc is a great thought that I don't believe has been covered.

Keep zooming in. There are some sheds, building and machinery. That is what I see.

I just wish we knew if Steven googled a map of this place while he was in Utah. Or, did he meet someone in Las Vegas that led him to Savannah Springs Ave.?

I'm going to use Google Earth in the morning. Might get a closer view of "the dirt."

I find this interesting, but to tell you the truth, I think Steven was smarter than that. Don't most of us know those jobs are a scam. I mean even my teen age nieces and nephews tease about them.

What if he had been in the SA before, and met someone that was interested in SK qualifications. Someone in the neighborhood. They talked and he or she offered Steven a job. But the business he or she had was illegal..Of course Steven did not know this .Maybe they asked him to deliver things for them. They told him it was furniture, carprt, janitorial supplies, or whatever. I

I have brought this scenario up before, but it happens. Then they get rid of him,and hire someone else for the next delivery. I mean the people they hire would be naieve to what they were hauling. They know to much, or try to quit, or even when the job is done.... Far fetched?

Not far getched at all. In fact that may be the reason he was driving all over the place. Delivering _____. Mesquite, Overton, Las Vegas, St. George.

I'll have to think about this.

Yes Paulette-I think it is a possibility.(well what isn't a possibility) But you read about this happening. There is someone living in SA who is retired, seems legit, but maybe runs this drug operation.

Some years ago, we lived in Reno, in a nice sub division. one of the nicest two story homes, with Ozzie and Harriet type people had alot of company in the evenings. People there often. We all thought they were popular people. Until they were busted . Selling drugs!

I love how I'm just a spectator on here:)

I just wanted to let you know that I emailed the idea's on the next search if & when we have one another to the PI. He agreed pretty much with the same idea's but did a people to area ratio (think it was everyone being 15 to 20 ft. apart) and would need approximately 1,700 people to conduct the search. He also mentioned it would be hard to do a briefing afterwards for any questioning about findings on the search because of some people having other commitments afterwards. Hey, I say if they have to go...i'll stick around to find out what was found! He mentioned he only had days to put this search together and would need atleast a month to put another one together but was very, very pleased with the search and was extremely pleased how focused the searchers were. I also mentioned to him about the area being a dumping ground. Sin City was with me when we came across a very long and high pile of dead palms which looked like a landscaper could have dumped with a very large truck. There was no way we could lift them and it was very, very possible that something or someone could have been burried under them. There were lots of items all over that we could not lift in the washes as well so I made mention to him that I didn't know what his resources or finances were but again, if or when another search was to be conducted if we could get some type of equipment to help lift heavy stuff that would really help.

The last thing I mentioned to the PI was surveillance camera's at the airport...I was sure he already checked into this but just needed to ask and also if any of the houses on the east or west side of the search area would have them?

And the last thing I wanted to mention and don't remember seeing this on past posts, forgive me if you have covered this and know it was thrown around about it being or not being Steven seen security camera's at Home Depot & Best Buy...Let's say he could have gone to any Best Buy and used their computers to google maps or directions on their computers to SCA? I still have no idea whom he may have met to give him the directions? He could have met someone at Home Depot and went & googled directions at Best Buy? Does anyone know if these security videos were ever looked at again by anyone else?

I've said for some time that the family would rather believe he was the victim of a crime rather than the alternative. Now the family thinks it was a group!

Now that is farfetched to borderline absurd. What group would want to lure Steven from St. George to SCA to kill him? Group involves multiple participants and a conspiracy (not as in conspiracy theory but a literal acting in concert by multiple participants). It's not like he had any money or other things of worth.

I know the family is in pain but this is way too much of a stretch.

THE POLICE DID A SWEEP OF THE CAR WITH DRUG SNIFFING DOGS WITH A NEGATIVE RESULT.

Can people move past that debunked theory already?

Moderator, is there a reason that this case is now listed as "TX NV" ?

Uhhhhhhh......uuuuuuummmmmmmmmm...........uuuuuuuuuhhhhh.....because a moderator somewhere, somehow.....uuuuhhh...screwed up. I believe that's the technical term for it. Not naming any names or anything.........:blushing::blushing:

Sorry Webrocket, I am not talking about his car. I do not think it happened in his car.

Sorry, I do not think its a stretch. If he knew someone was involved in something illegal- LIKE A DRUG RING, or someone tried to hire him, and it was a ILLEGAL operation, and he had a feeling it was a ILLEGAL business: maybe thay is what the family is thinking.

And NO, I can not move past that theory, until the case is over. It will still be a theory to me.

After watching 48 Hours saturday night, I have come to the conclusion that people are buried everywhere! A woman killed her husband, and buried him in the back yard! With the help of her 12 year old daughter! Her daughter finally told someone 20 years later! Her daughter, son, and a cousin knew about it ALL those years!

That all happened on the other side of town from me! It's not often Boise makes national TV.

I'm with sbakker -- I don't think we have enough evidence to rule out some sort of drug involvement, and those are certainly people who don't mind killing others on very little pretense.

It doesn't have to mean Steven was directly involved. It could be something as simple as him stumbling onto something he shouldn't have seen -- bad people using one of the emtpy houses.

I am also wondering about semi-legitimate drugs -- delivering illegal Mexican prescriptions to people around the area, or something like that.
