I'm sure it has been investigated, but I doubt we will ever find out any other info.....like what the whole story was with GW. I've tried to see the licence plate number by zooming in on that video---but it is useless.

With GW, I know I talk about him often,but....He talked to steven on the phone that Sunday, they were both in Las Vegas, they worked in their church positions together, attending the same church activities.

They would not have to call each other to make plans, because they probably saw each other at least once a week, but probably more.

Now, I realize this does not make GW guilty of a crime, or knowing something. But after looking at the timeline, seeing what SK's FB and friends, and reading GW's FB(seeing some of the things he said and was involved in) I hope he has told everything he knows. I am suprised that he being a friend of sk's, and sk was one of his counselor's, he is not on here or FB doing everything he could to help and tell us everthing he knows about sk.

Of course, I was suprised SP's husband didn't do that either....hmmm.

We need to remember that anyone even slightly connected to a case, has been told to not give public statements ... and that would include here.

GW's story would be easily checked out: friends, times, dates, location, being back in St George an hour before Steven was seen on the video, etc.

Are you saying, you think it was easily checked out?(friends, dates, location, being back to st.george) If it was, doesen't that mean he could be involved more? Or is he connected to the case, and cannot give public statements?

cell phone records show that the call lasted 2 MINUTES. time it like i did and guess what? that is a LONG TIME to be on the phone.

AT&T Terms: "Airtime and other measured usage are billed in full-minute increments, and actual airtime and usage are rounded up to the next full increment at the end of each call for billing purposes. AT&T charges a full-minute increment of usage for every fraction of the last minute used on each wireless call."

The "two minute call", therefore, was the billed time, not the actual time.

Someone's public statements are easily checked out -- and the person making those statements knows that. (Who wants to be caught in a public lie, and bring suspicion onto themselves?) In the case of GW, of course his public statements are easy to check out. He says he was by the Speedway when he talked to Steven. Easy to check. We know what time that occurred (phone records). He says he was in church at noon MST. There'd be many witnesses to that. If he says he was with friends, it's easy to talk to them.

As for "connected to the case" -- that goes to ANYONE who's been a source of investigative information.

We keep circling the same things, when IT'S WHAT WE DO NOT KNOW that's important here. We are not entitled to any investigative information just because we want to help.

Thank you! I was just going to post the very same information. Given this, it's possible that the "two minute" call was only a minute and one second.

No known connection, but is the first story like this since Steven disappeared:

8newsnow

Looks like an area full of older, down-and-out places Street view (hopefully)

Going to be interesting to find out how long it has been there.

Certainly; this doesn't seem to be four months old. But, if Steven did purposely disappear, it doesn't mean violence couldn't happen later.

That is true, good point.

do you know this for a fact. if you do - HOW?
if you dont - why change the timeline?

Your right ding, as I thought about the scenario of him sitting and waiting in his car for 5.5 minutes. That is a very long time ---what was he doing, if anything, ----on the phone...shaving? I know other's may not agree, but I feel there is a possible connection to the SUV. If you watch that video, Steven would be existing the car about the time he could have seen it coming down SS. He's waiting, SUV appears down the street, he starts walking, SUV goes by and turns around and stops in front of RT's business. Maybe they are a realtor, but I still feel a connection is there.

actually if you study the timeline SK being in his rental place for 30 min is a long time.

on the other hand a 2 hour lunch at RB could either be very long or too short.

and if he left SG to go to vegas and it puts him in vegas at aroung midnight thats almost 12 hours with little to no money and either a lot of time to do nothing or not enough time to do something - one of them being sleep and food. and yeah 5 min in the cul de sac is a long time sitting. or was he? something keeps gnawing at me about the mail boxes being so close to where he parked. i wonder if somebody gave him access to one of the mailboxes.

since reading the timeline again i just realized that the landlady just used the house as a stop-over destination - is that right?

and she refers to one of the marijuana related remnants she spotted as a "blunt"?

and that her husband was working with SK on a plan to pay back the late rent.
hes this "plan" ever been elaborated on? if it has i dont remember reading about it.

If GW was involved only as much as the phone call, he had less conversation than PD and the "we called Steven" guys. They were willing to post the information, in detail actually.

What would be the reason for telling ANYONE not to give public statements? I had not seen that actually put out...that anyone connected to the case should not give public statements. Especially if the police did not think there was a crime.

Isn't that standard procedure?
Obviously, there are tidbits we do not know and which have not been released.
Things like phone records, more about what was discussed in RV....

Occasionally we get a crumb, but most of it is private.
If it was "releasable", why hasn't it been?

As for GW, maybe it's really as simple as it's been portrayed.

According to our friend swjaxon's report which is linked on the timeline (8newsnow): "They tracked down the owner of an SUV seen driving up and down the street in the surveillance video. It turned out to be a real estate agent showing a house."

"Showing a house" = clients = visible on later parts of the video (meaning her story would be easily confirmed).

Apparently, noon appointments may be common in that neighborhood ;)

Noon appointments are very common in our neighborhood. 10:30 church services are over -- people are getting home, having friends and family to lunch, having birthday parties and baby showers, picking up kids to head out for Sunday soccer and football or baseball or lacrosse, hosting afternoon Bible study, hosting open houses for houses for sale, etc. etc. etc.

A 55+ community probably has fewer instances of kids being picked up for sports, but most of the other kinds of things are going to go on anywhere.

It sounds like she knows what she's talking about relative to the marijuana, doesn't it?

The thing that bothers me the most is that both Steven and the housemate were behind on the rent, according to the landlady. Steven is officially missing and the housemate can't be located to have papers served on him. Those factoids by themselves don't necessarily add up to anything, but they're quite a lump of odd activity.

Here (Utah) garage/yard sales are on Saturday, and open houses are on Sunday (when the huge classifieds come out).
A noon "home showing" always made more sense, than Steven having a Sunday noon appointment in a retirement community.

Or a social event -- dinner with someone he knew (or parents of someone he knew), a retirement reception for a former professor, 50th wedding anniversary reception for a friend or relative, etc.

If he attended an engagement party for someone, given by the girl's grandparents perhaps, that might have been the kind of thing that could have kicked someone in a vulerable state over into impulsive suicide.

....and that wouldn't have had to happen on Sunday, either. I think whatever was brewing, had been going on for months but peaked mid-week when he was "exposed" as a failure to his family due to them learning from the landlord about the back rent.
Poor guy. I really hope he just left....but....

The Tiffany Tehan case just ended with her being located in Miami, due to a romantic liaison with the man many tried to portray as a criminal-stalker-murderer. BUT....they were quickly linked together and traced. Kinda shows that it's hard to leave "without a trace" than many think. And that two people are more visible than one.
