Probably the most important, because it shows the "Nike Swoosh" that is part of Steven's ID. (I'm not sure if it's considered "appropriate" to post in this case, but this IS a missing person.)

That shows it really well. Considering it is a missing person I feel it is okay to post.

I never noticed it before (darn it!)...but I've sent it along to the State of Utah authorities, so they can (possibly) use it. And to the PI. And to Naegle. WTH, any port in a storm.

I don't understand why you doubt that he was worried about a job and marriage. It seems to all revolve around religion. IIRC he mentioned the newspaper job was too worldly or whatever. God wasn't giving his stamp of approval on a gf or two or whatever. I'm not saying his problems weren't self-inflicted, but if he wasn't worried then he would have been delusional.

Also trip a couple of days earlier to AN and/or family would seem to be based on his regret. Posted here was that people that knew him said he was totally focused on getting a job. First of all, getting a job you can live on is hard.

Secondly, he probably believed in small business ventures versus being an employee. The web hosting thing and the window washing venture sounds to me like he wanted to do those kinds of things, in a political philosophy kind of way, and venture failures are both very common and not part of the philosophy.

Obviously when you're down enough you try other things which apparently was what the employment applications were for, but also probably why they were stacked up instead of being used.

Not that getting a job you can live on has been a bowl of cherries past few years.

Newspaper job too worldly? That seems like a stretch since he had a degree in communications. My family were Mormans, They worked in CASINOS. The casino's hired a lot of Mormans because they could be trusted. Evey family on my block had someone that worked in a casino. My great-grandmother was admitted to the Temple. No one went off the rails like Steven. What wasn't acceptable was not to have a steady job and pay your rent!

I'd define delusional as not being able to distinguish self-will from "God told me to". If God told him to, why did he have regrets?

IMO, any info about Steven that doesn't lead to why he was lured to SCA is just frivilous gossip, which isn't my intention here.

Was there ever an in crowd type of explanation of what a "Nike Swoosh" would represent to someone to mark their body this way?

Or is it like a "pseudo" Tattooing of the body?

What (from memory) were the other photos like which were removed from the acct?

And more importantly, WHY would they be removed when they are /were his friends?

The "nike swoosh" is a birthmark.

I have only seen a few pics on that site.

I do not know why they were removed.

The photos were removed, as I described in my long, three-times edited post. The site owner took them down, after they were made public.

The birth marks have always been described as looking like a Nike swoosh (in close-up, they appear to be a series of flat moles). Tattooes? Steven had no tattooes. If he did, they'd also have been described.

Laytonian, has the realtor seen in the SUV ever been identified?

Yes, I do recall reading about the birthmarks now on the Timeline link.

Thanks for the recall of them.

I think the family should put those photos back up because it may help as certain communities of friendships etc. know each other and know others.
It's important not to delete or hide his friendships, any social gatherings, etc.(imo)

I would think the birthmark would be helpful in finding Steven if he is still alive....which is hopefully the case.

They probably removed them because they were in poor taste( I never got to read the comments) and this is where the gay rumor started, is that correct?

A bit of poor taste, and perhaps against LDS standards (that image of Steven's birthmark, for example).
They wrote the comments besides the pictures themselves. Many commented based on what they saw and read. When you're making gay jokes on an internet page, for all the world to see, you can't really get mad at people for reading it all.
What we can see through archives.org, is little of what was originally up there. I wish I could figure out how to access the archive of the page about Steven and the remarks.

It's an early warning about "social networking" and predated Facebook.

Well, I do not recall that report and cannot find it in a search. However, would this be a search that the family did or LE...?

I found it. It's in Steven's mother's comment on the Help Us Find Steven FB page.

I'm going back to the real estate agent. I don't know why I haven't been convinced that she knows nothing. Did she have a client in the car with her? Did her clients show up a short time after her, and was this car seen on video also? Did she exit her vehicle? Or did she leave soon after she's seen parking? Did SK walk around the block, and she picked him up?

I remember that and wondered if those were the ONLY houses they questioned. Hopefully, the PI has covered the others since then.

I read it as LE checked the houses with Utah cars parked first, then the next day, the canvassing began. Plus, Steven's Dad and brother had done canvassing on the 18th-23 (that's how they found Mr Security).

But I doubt that all 200+ homes in Overlook Village were ever contacted.

I really don't think all 200+ homes would have to be contacted. I feel it would be fairly close to where Steven's car was found. Or far, far away.

Maybe, but since it's the only parking spot that doesn't have homes around it, I can see him having to walk quite a distance if someone told him to park there.

There's either a reason the car was there, or it was random ;)

If he had a noon appointment, the house had to be very close by. Wouldn't his hinky meter go on if he was told to walk more than a block away? Wouldn't he wonder why all the secrecy?

Seems like the only stroke of luck in this case was the video captrue.
