6555 Boulder Hwy.

That address! Siena Suites motel. My husband and I stayed there, on April 30th and May 1st, 1995. It wasn't too bad then...I don't know about now.

Isn't the "Boulder Strip" THE area for lost souls....and isn't that homeless camp that Fairy1 talks about, in there somewhere?

Yep - posed earlier that the IHOP is at 4860 Boulder Highway. The homeless camp is at 4405. In this section of Boulder Highway, it's kind of a mish-mash of old LV and a lot of transient type places. If you were to follow Boulder Highway north - it eventually becomes Fremont Street, i.e. downtown LV, i.e., homeless haven.

I would think 6555 - Sienna would be nearly directly across from Sams Town.

I can't find anything on Donna Helms other than what dreamweaver posted earlier. Will check more later. Also will go by this area again on my way home from work.

Fairy thanks so much for being willing to go through that area on your way home - I bet so many of us wish we could be there to look around too - you are our eyes :)

Great idea.

I hope you don't mind, but I put a "WS reminder" and link to that, on the timeline page. It's static there ;)

Feel free to do the reverse as well!!!! The easier we can make the information to retrieve, the more responsive people are in my experience....

CONCERNED CTZN,
I'm thinking that because S. was short of money, he might not have contacted a realtor. He would probably be looking to rent a furnished room in someone's house -- like the place where he had been living in St. George.
Someone he met could have offered him a room in their house.Or, he could have picked up a free paper in Vegas, like the City Life paper, which has a lot of rentals in it. Or, if he prefered, he could have looked at The Edge classifieds.

Unlike most Associations who do not care when someone is renting...this one does b/c of the age factor. There are alot more records then in a regular HOA.

Maybe she's been found, and that website hasn't been updated? She looks more like a housewife or traveler, to me, than a transient. Someone who went there, to avoid a domestic violence situation.
And maybe it's quiet, because they're just waiting for evidence against someone?

1700 missing persons reports a month, is about 55 a day. But we don't know if that means people who are never found, or who are reported missing and later reappear.

But someone under 55 can live there, if they're a family member of someone who's 55+.

I say that, because the unusually-named woman who runs the two home-based realty businesses two doors down from the car's location, is only about 40.

Or he could have answered a Craigslist ad.

Remember....just because he was behind on his rent, doesn't mean he didn't have available money. He was using *something* to do all of that travelling, PLUS there's the money from his grandmother and mother that he never used.

Maybe he never used that money, because he was planning to do something else with it? Maybe job prospects looked better in Vegas?

That'd be nice.

CC,
Actually, I was thinking that someone in the development might have lured Steven over there, using the pretext of showing him a room to rent. KWIM ?

I like the idea that he was looking to rent a room from someone in Sun City Anthem, but how can we explain that he parked on a different street and walked to find the house he was heading toward then?

Maybe because he was told to park there, rather than in front of the home?

I'm just trying to find a logical reason for him to be in that area; frankly, I think he parked there randomly.

Yeah, I don't think it quite fits. And if he was just going to go rent from someone in the neighborhood, what went so wrong that we never see him go back to his car?

Laytonian (and everyone else for that matter), I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just playing devil's advocate and trying to challenge each solution we come up with so we don't settle on a pet solution. :)

Tip from LVMPD about missing persons ~ You also can check with area hospitals, medical clinics, or adult detention centers to see if the missing person has been brought to one of these facilities. Local homeless shelter can also be contacted.

4BB, you raise a good point....Laytonian would you ask Naegle if a BOLO was done for Steven, and when it was issued???

You're doing it right. I challenge everything, even myself.

You see, my own theory is that he ended up there randomly. It's only "hard to find" if you're going there on purpose.

As I recall, those were some of the first places checked, but I'll double-check and also ask if a formal "be on the lookout for" was issued to those locations.

But wouldn't LVMPD issue the "be on the lookout for", rather than giving it as a tip for someone else to do it? Seems like they work oddly down there.

I dont think it is black and white that they take a MP report and issue a BOLO. Especially for an adult. BOLO's are done if we are talking endangered missing usually I think....it wouldnt surprise me if one was issued that last week in December when they did the search with the dogs and helicopters...

So Laytonian, are you keeping a running record (copy/paste) of our questions or would you like us to retype some of them? Does Naegle plan on logging in here at certain times? Thanks

My questions just in case...

Does Grandma have a bank ledger stating when she wrote the check?
Can we get a roundabout figure for what was left in Steven bank account?
Are there any pages you would like to scan in for us to sort out?
Is there a video that shows any vehicles coming out of Evening Lights later?
Has anyone sat and talked to Mr. Security?

I've been watching today, and have those. Thanks.
I'm going to send them to her in a little while, and when she replies, I plan to post them on a new page, connected to the timeline. That way, it's always available from my sig file instead of having to scroll through posts.

I think "last call" will be about 7:00pm MST.
