The cars you see in the second video, are parked in the home's carport.

The first video was taken from the home's camera #3.
The second video was taken from the home's camera #7.

You're right. From what it looks like, he walked FURTHER into the neighborhood.

I have the satellite map open, your timeline, this...and I'm now going back and forth and pulling hair! Just still looks weird that he would go that way. At first the thing he walks by looked like a trashcan to me for a shopping center, which is why I was confused. Not to mention it took him that long to walk around the house? I know in the first video that vehicle stops, but you see no more video as to how long it sat there. Did he talk to them? Google maps marks the house it stopped in front of though as Preferred Mortgage Services.

The reason the car seems to go slow and then fast (and why he seems to walk fast and then slow), is because the video was shot through a fisheye lens. Look at how curved the drainspout is, and how curved other things are.

A fisheye lens makes nearby moving images look like they're moving faster than those that are further away. We were confused by that, at first, also.

He parked in the little circle cul de sac. For some reason, Google's maps keep moving the marker.

The trashcan is a standard suburban, automated can. I have one just like it.

I see the cul de sac. Ok about the trashcan, when I first saw the video on you tube today it looked like one of those huge brick things they build, so thank you for clearing it up.

Hi ya'll. Just trying to get caught up on all the activity here today. Welcome to fellow Vegas girl, Nicole!

I've decided to curb my local detective work around here this weekend until we get some feedback from Naegle & family. I so hope they're able to find something of substance that we can run with. Or better yet, find Steven! Of course, I will keep an eye out for Steven wherever I go. There's a LOT of city between Sun City Anthem and MLK & Craig. And a lot of buses too! Naegle has my cell number if they need me.

Can someone clue me in on the general school of thought with regard to Steven's boss?

What are your thoughts about the possible sightings of Steven in the MLK/Craig area? What possible reason could there be for him to go to that area? And you'd be hard pressed to get any further from SCA!

Something else that crossed my mind today; why hasn't the family called upon their church for help searching? There are countless wards in Las Vegas and thousands upon thousands of potential volunteers. I should think they'd be happy to help finding one of their own. Does this strike anyone as odd?

Thanks - but that article says "church friends from Utah." I'm talking about the members in Las Vegas. Power in numbers. I think they can do better than that.

Maybe they don't feel that type of search is necessary? IDK.

thanks for the heads up on this. I mentioned Prop 8 way back and although this article predates the actual Prop 8 passage by 2 years, I'm not sure when it all started.

I can't say I see any particular clues other than to say that in the course of writing this article he was interviewing some people who were very anti-gay. Since it was always my hunch that Steve is gay, I wonder how he felt doing the story especially when they kept stressing the "natural family". Talk about exclusionary language. Interestingly, the town of Kanab is a border town with Arizona as is St. George.

Would it help to know that he was working for his father, when he wrote that?

Another story is "The winter blues: How to fight them off", that seems to hit home, because his mother says he was tired of the winters in SLC, so moved south.

It was Steven's first real job out of college. He was a "stringer" for almost 1-1/2 years, before he took the job at the online edition of the Salt Lake Tribune. Despite his degree, that was pretty much the end of his journalism career.

After that, he worked at online advertiser Matchbin and then moved to St George for a career in the window washing industry.

Maybe this is what the flier the police found looked like. Which would make sense why they called his boss. I don't think his boss is involved...or knows much.

I would like to know why Steven was passing out fliers in that neighborhood when he came across those girls. Did he agree to do that earlier or did he choose on his own? I don't think he would hand them out if he "planned" to not come back.

Most of the neighborhood was canvassed. No one ever saw a flier, or Steven. His boss says he didn't send him there, and there's a firm no-soliciting policy in Anthem Sun City.
