Well, yeah. THANK YOU! ;)

ALTERNATE IDEA:

How about one of our "ACTIVE member, born and raised in the church" posters log onto the lds.org website, find the phone number for the bishop or clerk of the Bloomington Hills 7th Ward, call them, and ask when "ward temple night" was in December?

Isn't it a rather innocuous question, that shouldn't be such a secret?

Come on, folks. Help us find the information or tell us why it cannot be revealed? How hard would that be?

It seems like something so simple is now so complicated . I agree how hard would it be.

BBM
I just looked up the schedule for the St George Temple for 2010. It is closed for maintenance in February and August, so it looks like it would have been open on the 9th.

Renn, Is there anyway for you to go into the chruch website and scan for past activity dates? Like the ward temple night in St. George that Cindy on FB was referring to? We really need to nail this sighting down.

Or....any activities that would have been held in Henderson/LV the week or week-end prior to his 12/13th arrival? TIA

Hospitals, etc, were scoured early on.

I don't know what kind of systems they have, but you'd think there'd be a way to "flag" a name....and if that person shows up, it alerts.

That was my thought....they checked earlier, but what happens if he has walked in between then and now? I don't know if they would be allowed to call LE or not. I don't understand why not, just couldn't give the reason for him being there--I would think. ????

Here is the link for Steven's ward. I looked for ward activities posted and the temple night does not show up. Everyone can see this page. I think you just have to become a fan. If anyone else would like to to try and reach out to current ward members..... There are aslo many pictures of Steven at different ward activities. (dinner, campout, food fight) Oh yeah, GW is in a few too.

Well, at least one of those things. THANK YOU! ;)

No secret at all! Just a matter of looking it up and calling. You know...work. I'll see what I can find out.

Hi Ruby Red....I have tried 4-5 times to find the comment on page 2 by Cindy and dated January 3. I just don't see it.

Here is the post from FB:

I know Steven from his current ward. I was always so impressed with him and how actively he served in his calling in the ward. The last time I saw him was around the 9th of December (I think) at ward temple night. A few of the other girls from the ward and I even commented to him how impressed we were to be so supportive of ward activities.
My prayers are with him and your whole family during this difficult time. Steven is a very special guy, and I hope he returns home safely very soon.

So there are multiple people seeing him at this function----whereever----We need to find out.

We've seen that one.

But we're talking about lds.org, the official church website that lists the Bishopric and other contacts for every LDS stake and ward. I know there's a search function that would allow me to see the Bishopric for the Bloomington Hills 7th Ward in St George Utah....but I can't use it.

When you try to access anything but general information, you have to enter your Church membership number and other verifying info.

I can understand them not wanting to have all of that information "open" .... but we're just asking for someone to access it for a legitimate reason: a life is at stake.

All it would take is a call to the clerk or bishop, explaining you're asking and then ask for the date and time "ward temple night" was held in December 2009.

I'm sensing we're not going to get that info, HB. Notice how a criticism or deflection arises, every time we mention it?

No wonder we are :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

We're supposed to solve this using Divine Provenance.

The only way to get that list of the ward members is if you are in that ward, which might be why we can't get it. Are they also protecting GW? I am starting to wonder that now?? Since he is the Elders Quorum President, or was at the time... Just a thought.. It is quite frustrating, someone is missing guys! You need to help out, this is not gossip, this is helping out!!

If he tried to walk in, he'd get NO treatment unless he was put on a short-term hold by LE or a licensed clinician based on him being an extreme danger to himself or society. He'd be given some pills, and turned loose within 72 hours UNLESS someone applies for a court order.

That would have meant a crime was involved....and his name would already have become public OR "amnesiac found in Vegas".

Those things haven't happened.

I posted the links that explained it all, last night.

The most dangerous and vulnerable members of our society (mentally ill, chronic alcoholics and deep drug users) are the most endangered and have been since the early 1980s, when they were moved out of the mental hospitals and put on the street, and renamed "the homeless".

The name of the bishop and the ward clerk are readily available. But I think a "ACTIVE member, born and raised in the church" would be the best person to ask the specific questions we need answered and do so in an especially sensitive manner.

And I'm not talking about GW...because that's the third rail.

I agree about the active church member etc. What do you mean about GW and the third rail??

You know what the third rail is, right? It's the high-powered electrical line that runs a subway. You touch it, you die.

Trying to get info about GW, is like touching the third rail ;)

http://bh7thsinglesward.blogspot.com/

Just found this. It might give us some info on names or something. Haven't read it yet but thought I would post it. I am not from Utah or familiar with the area but could this be his ward?

Edit: If so.. Check the Valentines post :)

Edit again! Ok this is definately it! In January 26, 2009 post Brother Doxey is mentioned ..
