That person also lists his interests as drinking, boating, and CSI.

Nothing in common with SK at all. Was Steven starting his own window washing business, and if so, was it seen as cutting in?

One. Steven was into water sports, recreation. I can't see SK competing in the window washing business, but I could see him maybe inticed into making some bucks with the drugs in some way.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we have no idea what he was doing in Mesquite, right?

We also have no idea where he was Saturday night and Sunday morning.

I wonder how much the Mesquite question has been investigated. Maybe someone in Mesquite referred him to someone in Vegas for possible work.

We know he bought gas in Mesquite, and that there was a celltower ping in Overton...and that celltower overlaps with the southern Mesquite celltower. His family stopped at the gas station, on their way back from the first Vegas trip (when they picked up the car), and asked about a security video - but it had already been taped over.

I'm not so curious about Saturday evening, because we have all the documented "events", and maybe even dinner at a Bishop's home (which would be almost a "calling", an event you don't really miss).

I'm curious where he was during the day on Saturday, and where he went after 10:30pm --so maybe we're asking the same thing?

Another thing I wonder about, we have been told that there is a church near where he was walking (with a genealogy group). So those streets are not all residential? What other businesses or churches might be there? Many churches have a soup kitchen that would have been functioning on a Sunday morning, and while they serve many decent people down on their luck, they also can attract sketchy people. It would be interesting to know what else besides houses were on those nearby streets.

How about telling us about that church, their location, and the soup kitchen?

EDIT: I found the church. It's 2.2 miles away from where Steven's car was parked ... and it's evangelical (lets just say that the LDS and evangelicals are like oil and water). No soup kitchen. They do have some weeknight AA and AlAnon meetings, and that weeknight genealogy group.

You can look at the Anthem-SCA maps we've made, and see that the nearest businesses are far from where he parked.

About the cell phone, one more reason I can think of that a perp would check voicemail is to find out if anyone called Steven and anyone was looking for him. No one missing him would equal more time for them to disappear him.

Absolutely. Like I said last night, if someone thought Steven was holding something back on them, they might look for a message on his cellphone.

The problem with that theory is that my voicemail requires a password. If his was similar, to check his voicemail would have required that they were able to force him to give up his voicemail code. But if they went to that trouble, wouldn't they get his ATM code out of him and raid his bank account? They wouldn't know how little money he had until they checked.

I don't think we can assume that Steven's phone worked just like ours. For example, yours requires a password to get to voicemail (you probably enabled the password yourself). But of the four cellphones in our family (two are company-issued), none require passwords.

His bank activity stops with the K-Mart receipt on Dec 12th. Even an unsuccessful "raid" would have generated activity.

There is no list of employers, but I did see his last employer does have a drug record.

He DOES?

Got a link to something that will show us that?

I checked out TH on utahsright.com and there's several different THs (differing middle names, initials, NMI, etc) - so I've not been able to pin it down to "our" TH.

Starts here and continues to the next page:
http://utahsright.com/charges.php?first=&last=hansen&page=44

That would make potentially THREE St George acquaintances with a drug history.

...and/or pay off a debt?

Yes, who is it. I'm curious.

There's nothing wrong with posting a link to show us something, even if they don't want to mention someone's name. Some of these names are so common (like Steven's boss, TH, that it's almost impossible to determine if something is about him, without knowing more).

Okjay, how i found TH's name, was under Utahsright.com. I saw on the timeline page under links, where it says"another person", then I typed in his name. Thats where I saw his records. Boy , that Timeline page helps SO MUCH!
It said his name and St. George, maybe there is another TH in St. George?

Thank you. There's lots of sneaky-links there.

I've been going through all the THs listed there (there's several) and can't say for sure that's him. The way that page works, you see only the exact thing you enter. If you go to utahsright.com and just type in Hansen, then go to about page 44, you'll see them all.

Now....where's everyone seeing "drinking, CSI and boat" ;)

We need a mug shot....and a brave customer.

Is this the same one (Sk boss) I don't see a birth date.

There's no way to tell, without going to the courthouse and getting more information. They removed the private, identifying info.

Did you look at THIS link that I posted below?
http://utahsright.com - TH? (scroll down 2/3 of the way, read all the names and see the variations, and then go to the next page).

There's so many people in Utah by that name, we have to be very careful.

I am having the SAME problem with someone else with a close relationship to Steven, whose name MAY appear on this list:
utahsright.com - debt owed??

AND....of the six charges listed, are they all the same person? Very well could be. ARE they the person associated with Steven? Based on that info, there's no way to tell. It's also a common name.

So we have to be careful here, too.

Fairy1 wrote: Why would the killer (or whatever) call Steven's voice mail the day AFTER he went missing? What possible purpose would that serve?

In Amber DuBois' case, a call was made to voice mail next day also. The general theory I have in a situation like that is that murderer is trying to establish victim is still alive and ran off type thing, also seeing if anyone is missing victim already.

Is there any way to find out TH middle name? There had to be some verbal exchange with SK because there is nothing on his cell or comp that we know of. So the reason he went where he did, was probably a face to face exchange.

I've asked; the family doesn't know. I'm sure LE does, but that's a black hole.

Do we know the age of Steven's boss, TH?

There are multiple families with the last name of the woman referenced here in SCAnthem.

Also, yes, I think we are asking the same question about where Steven was Saturday night after he left his house at 10:30 p.m.

One person here has "four degrees of separation" that might give us the info. She'll read, and maybe find out for us.

That's not "our" TH. Ours owns a home in St George (might currently be delinquent on the loan), may have recently divorced and moved to Ivins, Utah (just google the 435-632-6704 phone number on the window washing flyer). Phone number links to another business involving electronics, run out of the Ivins home with another person (probably father, because that links to homeowner's name/address). Has new website, without the phone number ;)

Interestingly, the home TH owns is in Washington City, just north of St George (which is also the location where Steven bought the Jack In The Box on Dec 11th or so).

I wonder if that's where Steven was handing out flyers that day....in that neighborhood. Or if he went to collect money. We don't really know for sure, which date he received the $100. TH seems to have seen him Dec 8th (which was presented as the last time), but gave him $100 "shortly before he disappeared) so it's confusing.

Did anyone witness this money changing hands or do we just have the person's word?

And if we only have this person's word that they saw SK on Dec. 8th, does that open up the timeline in any way?

If we get something else that conflicts with it, sure. Not a theory, but someone else's word that they're standing by OR when logic tells us (based on something we've learned) that it couldn't have taken place then. We don't even know the time of day it occurred.

I don't believe in throwing out information, just to make a theory more plausible.

This is the first version of the timeline, given to us by Naegle on Jan 13th. Naegle didn't find out until later about TH and SK, and told us on Jan 17th. That's when SK's and AN's mothers got together and decided (weeks later) that Steven went to Ruby Valley on the 9th.

Obviously, anyone's welcome to create their own timeline; I have no ownership and would like to see what someone else comes up with.
