Was that person UNconnected to us and the speculation?
(ie, if a WSer said that, they may have just read it from previous posts here.)
It was not from someone who posts here. Or has ever posted here.

Yes, and very likely WITH someone else.
So the people who told him that, also told him who Steven would be with?
(Otherwise, how would they know?)
I'm curious, because if that person is AT ALL connected to law enforcement, shouldn't the family know about that?
If he was gay, how did this particular person know about it? Are they just speculating? Because it must have been very hush, hush. So was this person REAL close to Steven? If they say this about him, I hope they can back it up.
Numerous people have told this person that Steven is gay. THEY didn't say it - they were simply passing on to me what they have HEARD from others.
Of course it would have been hush, hush! To be honest, I really have to wonder how many people would have known it if it were true. Certainly, they would have been people outside of his family and circle of friends, IMO.
NO! This person has no idea what has happened to Steven. I don't believe they know the sources personally. I suppose it amounts to nothing more than rumor - technically. But if it comes from multiple sources, you have to at least consider it, right?
There is now a SP & SK ( is there a connection) thread on Susan forum. So I guess we will see what others are thinking.
Fairy1 - Do you think this rumor was the reason he was in Henderson?

Possibly - but I'm not sure it's a rumor. Who knows? It's just as viable as any other theory we've come up with.
I don't know how many in the family have heard the rumors, how many would be open to them, but Naegle indicated that they just want him back home and could overlook anything. I think that's fair.IF Steven is gay, or even if the family has heard these same rumors and believes they MAY be true, this to me explains the (perceived) attitude of family and ward members that has confounded us.
If it turns out to be true, I owe webrocket lunch.![]()
O/T: Though it bugs me to no end, I get why people type in all caps or all lowercase (it's easier). But why, oh WHY, would you capitalize every first letter? You're only making it harder on yourself, buddy!!

It's on purpose. Some do it merely for effect, others because their mind works that way. Some even look for software to help them do it! Look here.
Years ago, when I worked for Prodigy, we had a man who did that and it bugged people no end. It turned out he was mentally handicapped, and doing that was part of how he expressed himself. (He may have had autism - I can't remember.) I thought of that when I went to FB and saw Dan's picture with his mom.
Yes, I had a colleague who wrote that way, also. He told me it was a trick to help keep words from running together in his head. Somewhere in Word, there is a setting to ask it to capitalize every word; I used to use it on my memos to him, to help him read what I wrote. He was a very bright guy, but anything to do with reading, or trying to get written words to say what he meant, was a painful process.
So I was taking that comment as well-intended, though not necessarily meaningful. The oblique way people sometimes talk on the internet sometimes makes things sound insighful or mysterious when they're merely vague.
Is there a thought that there could be a connection.
