Hi....I asked Mapquest for the distance from Harrisonburg, La to Amite, La and posted the "response" and the URL. Now you see why I hesitate

I did it backwards (duh) -- Amite, LA to Harrisonburg, LA.

Here's something else I found interesting: Williams AZ to Harrisonburg, LA.

If you started out in Williams (just west of Flagstaff, on I-40), and drove to Harrisonburg, you'd never go through Amite.
With Lexis' body skeletonized to the extent that it took three weeks to ID, I'm thinking that was the direct route.

I'll bet mom's dead, and her remains are somewhere along that route (ie, the boyfriend killed mom, to get at the girl).

It's a lot of territory, and a lot of open space.

It's not your fault at all; you did better than I did, when I tried Mapquest. I can't even FIND the link to post here. When I right-click, it just gives me options - instead of the map URL.

Mapquest was my favorite, for many years. I'm not a Google fan (they want to take over the earth), but they make it so darned easy to post their URLs.

This is so very sad and I agree - Mom is dead as well. It's a miracle they found Lexis. Hoping for another miracle in the form of LE finding her killer. We never did find out about "Spider's" criminal record but, somehow I just know it's going to pizz us all off even more when we do.

I see 3 possibilities: 1) mother and boyfriend killed Lexis, dumped body to run away together without burden of a child, 2) boyfriend killed Lexis and Suellen and the mother's body just hasn't been found yet, or 3) all 3 (including boyfriend) were innocent victims of another party. I really doubt that #3 is the case, but without any additional information or evidence, I don't think that possibility can be excluded entirely. RIP Lexis.

I have some very sneaking suspicions about people involved in this, but I know what the rules are on here.

G-d bless poor Lexis. I have this feeling like this was not the only traumatic event in her life.

That is all I will say until more details emerge.

I wonder if the photo is from Suellen's driver's license. My photo looks about the same. It's the same blue background. With the new DMV processes, they make you remove any eye glasses, pull your hair back and do not smile. I just checked my own drivers license, and it also looks like a mug shot - but it is the same blue color background.

My impression from reading the articles is that Suellen and Lexis were very close. I think he killed both of them, and even thinking about how and when this happened makes me feel sick. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Also, I don't think that looks like a mugshot. JMO.

I have nothing to add other than I was in Vegas that weekend. I could have passed that car without knowing I needed to be on the lookout. ....Shiver....

That beard is horrid. What the heck did she see in him? It would probably be helpful to show a picture of him that isn't a mug and may be more current. The beard takes up so much space that shaving it off and dying his hair would make him look like a brand new person. And younger too - his skin doesn't look too aged, only his white hair. Plus, the eyes aren't really visible in the picture either.

I hope LE is working hard to find Sanders and get this !:furious: Most likely scenario for me is Sanders killed the mom and took Lexi to LA (I hate to think what he did with her) then killed her! Don't think mom had anything to do with this!

well money was probably not the motive, a nice car?? doubt it.....yes I agree, he was probably after the little girl....

I also dont think mum is alive judging by the phone call to her mother...

I just heard about this case today. It is rediculous that there wasn't more coverage. They traveled all the way to LA without LE looking for them along the way? Did LE drop the ball on Lexis & her mother? LE has a lot of explaining to do it seems.

In that video Carl linked to, it does look like Lexis was missing her right upper canine in at least two of the photographs where she is smiling and showing her teeth. I'd read about her disappearance but never noticed that before.

Foul play was obvious since the beginning on this case, but someone transported this girl 1360 miles and two states away from where she was last seen. :furious:

More photos of Thomas Sanders with and without facial hair need to be broadcast - I agree with earlier post that this guy could easily change his appearance by dying and cutting hair and removing beard.

The family car, a silver 2001 Kia motors sedan, Nevada license plate 153UCR, is still missing, and the same day that news media announced the remains had been identified as Lexis, a gray Kia Spectra was found with an unidentified woman's body decomposing in a container in the backseat. The car was registered in Florida:

The vehicle was first noticed Tuesday but the body was presumably decomposing far longer than that. Lexis Roberts was identified Wednesday...could this be the same vehicle? Suellen Roberts is still missing.
