She may have gone later so that no other cars would be in the school parking lot.

I do know that some teens do stress about learning how to parallel park and think it is the hardest thing to learn how to do.

But she didn't even have her permit yet. So what would she be stressing about? She had not even started the process.

Hard for me to ignore that they just happened to be 'learning to drive' in the very parking lot closest to the park where EN always hangs out. The very same park where he and Mom had the long heart to heart talks. Another strange coincidence, imo.

I went back to look at the two photos of the vigil. I'm assuming the younger girl is the daughter, but then there is a picture of another girl with mom, that can't be the same girl. Then there is another woman holding a sign, anyone know who that is? Could it be that the suspect said some mean things to the daughter, maybe bullying her, and then in steps mom and brother to defend her? Maybe the daughter really liked EN, and he didn't want anything to do with her? I can't wait to hear from the daughter, the real truth from the daughter, I think several questions will be answered.

If I remember correctly, the dark haired female is a cousin of either BoB or Tammy. Her initials are SR.

I assumed that left photo (girl doing duck lips with Tammy) was a dolled up, maybe photoshopped a bit photo of 15 YO daughter. I could be delusional though.

If the teen had a permit, and it was during legal hours, maybe.
But, it was 11pm or later on a school night. I can't think of a good reason to be "teaching" a teen without a permit while breaking the teen driver curfew law.

I think she was preparing to get her learners license.

That's true but a lot of parents teach their children to drive before they are of age.

Here is my opinion...

BM and EN have a problem. TM wasn't in the car. The kids didn't want to incriminate themselves. Son and Daughter go out looking for EN, find him, flash gun and get shot at.

EN follows them home and BM and him have words or brief shootout at which time TM comes outside to see what the hell is going on and is hit with a stray bullet.

I think once they knew he had crossed over to murder they were scared to out him. He lived just a block away and he could come in the middle of the night and murder them all or burn their house down.

Then you call POLICE so they can lock him up so he can't burn your house down or futher harm your family or ANYONE else in the community! You don't withhold the identity of the shooter! After all the twisted, illogical stories this family has told I don't find any of them credible!

These things probably vary from place to place.
But in our experience, it wasn't common anywhere we've lived to get very involved with teaching a teen to drive without a learners permit. They need insurance, and they need a learners permit. Otherwise, it's kinda risky liability wise. (They certainly don't need parallel parking skills to get a learners permit.)

Learners permit is very different than an actual drivers license test.

I hope like all get out that tammy was checked for gunshot residue. I hope pvd make an additional arrest. this behavior must be punished.

I don't see why she would have gunshot residue but I am sure they checked to be sure anyway. I think she was shot from a distance and not a close range shot and gunshot residue wouldn't be close enough to be on her or her clothing. The gun has to be fired within 10 in to 18 in. away for gunshot residue to be on the victim

I did just read an article elsewhere that they have made a second arrest. I don't know if it has been linked here or not already but if not I will try to find it. I think it was from the Daily Mail so I don't know if it is valid although they are pretty spot on sometimes.

I'm not saying it's an explanation for their behavior. But she was unlicensed and didn't have a permit and should not have been driving and they may be worried she will get in trouble so they are staying he mom was driving and she just reached over to honk the horn.

JMO - She would not have gotten in very much trouble even had she crashed the car while driving without a license. Maybe a delay in getting her learners permit if they followed the letter of the law.
She wouldn't get into any trouble for admitting she had previously been behind the wheel and arrived home safely. Cop may have said "Don't drive anymore until you have your permit," but that's about it.

LAS VEGAS -- Erich Nowsch told two friends that he shot people who were after him on the night that Tammy Meyers was shot, according to his arrest report.

Nowsch, 19, was arrested Thursday for the shooting of Tammy Meyers, 44, on Feb. 12. She was shot in the head and died two days later.

The teen told police he was with a friend at a recording studio the night of Meyers' shooting. According to his arrest report, that friend told police that wasn't true.

Police learned Nowsch called some friends a few hours after the shooting and wanted to talk with them. Those friends said Nowsch, who is also known as Baby G, told them he was at a park near the school where Tammy Meyers was teaching her 15-year-old daughter how to drive. He saw a green car driving around the parking lot and thought the people in the car were looking for him so he called a friend to pick him up. That friend drives a four-door silver sedan.

Nowsch told his friends that a while later the green car began following them and he thought he saw someone point a gun out the window so he loaded his gun and began shooting at the car, the report said. Nowsch said they followed the car to the house where he fired more shots.

According the the report, Nowsch told his friends, "got those kids, they were after me and I got them." Nowsch told his friends no one fired shots at him, but he knew he shot a person next to the car.

Nowsch is facing charges of murder with a deadly weapon, attempted murder with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

What am I thinking? I called bull the first time I heard the first report. Mom and daughter shot after returning from late night "driving lessons" sounded too much like they went to buy drugs in a parking lot and the deal went bad. Then the reports came out that the mother roused her son to get his gun and go out looking for the other car, and I've since settled on the Meyer's family deals drugs and got into a beef with another drug dealer. The husband running his mouth and the suspect being a drug dealer, whose identity they knew but kept quiet about, confirmed my suspicions.

Someone in this thread said it was understandable the Meyer's family didn't name the suspect due to being afraid of him. That doesn't hold water since the suspect's neighbors said members of the Meyers family were pounding on the suspects door for two days prior to his arrest. I you're afraid of someone, you don't go the house and pound on the door.

This further validates my suspicions. In the inner city ghettos where I live, it's common for people to not reveal the identities of murders. Many keep quiet out of fear of retribution, while others keep quiet to get "street justice." The Meyers pounding on the suspects door for two days indicates street justice was more motivation than fear. Or perhaps the Meyers were trying to collect money or drugs that were rightly theirs.

Two very important facts substantiate my suspicion that this was a beef between drug dealers. 1) The suspect is a drug dealer. 2) The Meyers' sons own a head shop.

I understand law enforcement insisting Tammy is a victim. Either way, she is. Even drug dealers, or supportive family members of drug dealers, deserve to not be killed. Once law enforcement gets to the bottom of this, I hope they fully disclose the drug aspect of the case. That way they can help facilitate drug dealers understanding that law enforcement wants them to call 911 instead of taking matters into their own hands.

I didn't see a charge against EN for a silencer.

Three charges are going to be lobbed against him in court on Monday, imo.

Murder.
Attempted Murder
Firing a gun from inside a vehicle.

IMO, the "practicing driving/parallel parking" was borne out of the fact that one of the Meyers knew EN was at the park that evening, and that one of the Meyers went trolling around the parking lot near the park (for whatever reason). They knew that information would come out at some point and had to head it off at the pass, so to speak. Why?

This is like one giant knitted sweater that has a loose string...each pull makes it come undone.

So if the Meyers son and daughter were driving the Meyer' green car -- EN's story totally makes sense. Tammy was never in that car. The son and daughter were. She came outside to see what was happening and got caught in the crossfire. And it sounds to me like EN has a very good case for self defense. I'd feel threatened if someone were following me around, waving a gun!
