There was just a really interesting interview with a neighbor on CNN. She described the suspect as a small, about 5ft, skinny kid who seemed to get in to trouble. His mother has a 1 month old baby. Apparently, the husband knocked on this kid's door and spoke to his mother a few days ago?

ETA: Sorry, posters have beat me to it! lol

Why would the husband take it upon himself to go to that house and speak to the mother? Why not call police? Seems to be a pattern.

LE will not confirm the person in the house is the shooter. Only that he is involved in the homicide. This distinction may change once LE is no longer in tactical mode.

Hoping, since things haven't been clear from jump AND a baby could be in the home, that this ends peacefully.

Whoever is truly culpable should be brought to justice.

Please don't apologize. I had missed that & appreciate your take on the happenings.

I just heard an insider or expert on the phone with CNN and he completely reinterpreted what the LE spokesman said during the press conference. Not sure what is going on.

Per neighbor being interviewed on CNN - alleged shooter does not drive. He does not have a drivers license. He is maybe 100 lbs soaking wet - short little fella. He runs with a bad crowd.

Live interview taking place, assume it is a neighbor. Referring to sketch, says it does not look like the suspect. Small, maybe 100 lbs, suspect hangs with "lesser element", never had a problem with him, suspect does not drive. People have been "beating down" mom's door ever since incident happened. Armored swat is coming to scene.

ETA: All descriptions make it sound like we are looking at a young suspect. Wonder if he is 15..same age as daughter? Perhaps too young to drive since he does not have a license, lives with mom and infant sibling.

Live interview: another neighbor came home at 0700 after night shift. Suspect looks nothing like sketch "weighs 100 lbs soaking wet .... Doesn't drive doesn't have a license." His roommate is helping suspect's mom who has been escorted by LVMPD detectives.

Wow....People have been beating down the alleged shooters door for days - including the husband of Tammy Meyer. Wow. Just WOW. Why not call the cops and let them handle it? I seriously do not understand the mindset of these people. I really REALLY don't. They covering up something? Protecting some information?
