From the Daily Mail article:

"One local, who asked not to be named for fear of retribution, told Daily Mail Online: 'He's known by the police gang unit. He represents a gang, he says he's not with them any more, but he has access to weapons, his friends have weapons.

'Three months ago when I confronted this kid at the park he tried to pull a gun on me. And I jumped on him and got his backpack away from me.'

The man says the suspect fits the description of the person wanted in connection with Meyers' death.

'That day [in the park] that silver car showed up, it's a white boy, he's young he's got blonde crew cut hair. It fits. 'The story fits, because they're all young punks in a gang called Alpha Block.'

The man's wife, who also asked not to be named, said she spoke with detectives yesterday because the suspect had put a knife to her daughter and her two friends on Saturday.
'He's a punk, a 20-year-old punk,' she said. 'He's come after my son three or four times. My husband's gone after him to tell him to leave our kids alone."

A gang named "Alpha Block?" Doesn't sound real intimidating or territorial, does it?

(Probably a juvenile detention center "gang" at best.) JMO

TM and suspect knew each other well, it seems. Damn. Curiouser and curiouser.

"In an afternoon press conference, Robert Meyers, the victim's husband said his family knew Nowsch and that his wife, Tammy, had spent countless hours consoling the teen. He said, the reason his wife and son went after Nowsch is because he knew where they Meyers lived."

I don't doubt that TM was wonderful enough not to be shot & killed but consoling him? About what?

JMO, it was bad enough what the victim's family has done before now but if this guy didn't do it, it's unforgivable.

So they knew who it was all along?

(forgive me for quoting my own post..this whole craziness has my head upside down!)

So she knew who the kid was... recognized him... but never told her son who they were supposedly looking for??? And neither the son nor daughter bothered to tell the police who it was???? Nope, not buying it... IF it went down the way they said, son/daughter would only have had to say " it was Erich... he lives a block away.." But they didnt....t

Seems that would blow the whole "they were moving the car away from the house" so they wouldn't be found story right out of the water...

Robert Meyers also spoke with HLN's Nancy Grace and told her the man threatened to kill his wife and daughter. So Tammy Meyers raced home, dropped her daughter off and summoned her son, Robert Meyers told Grace.

The son, who was armed, got into the car with his mother and they left the house. Robert Meyers said his son and wife were trying to move the car away from the family home. They didn't want the car to be recognized in front of their home.

Because if they were known to one another then Nowsch and Co would already know where the Meyer home was and the car being around the block or something wouldn't change that.

I'm confused..where did Tammy console him?.....bbm: why was this an issue if she was consoling him --- ????

I'm seeing comments saying the family stood outside his house telling him to come out and talk, they wouldn't hurt him. (No, but they might shoot him and say "Got him!")

Ok, Bob will now say that they didn't want the guy to know they were home, that's why they moved the car.

Leaving the daughter home alone in the meantime.... then they brought the car back....

Okay, NOW we are getting somewhere. So earlier that night there was a birthday party for one of Tammy's sons. I wonder where that took place? Did their neighbor and friend Nowich attend the party?

Anyway, Mom and daughter had some words with their angry neighbor that night. And they rushed home, and got their son and his loaded weapon and went back out to find their neighbor. Then what?

So when the daughter said earlier that ' it would have been ME he killed if not for my heroic brother...' ---that is beginning to make more sense now. Seems that the suspect had an issue with neighborhood girls, having pulled a knife on a few that prior weekend. Allegedly. So maybe the daughter and him had a tiff at the birthday party and they went home to get big brother to help settle it?
