So according to this article the suspect was known by the Meyers family and TM had counseled him many times at the park where all this went down. RM said they didn't tell LE that his family knew EN because he (EN) knew where they lived. So why in the world would TM & BM go out looking for the car if he was so bad? Apparently you can't believe anything this family is saying. SMH

It bothers me that Erich will be charged with 3 felony charges before the police have even spoken to him. Does that ean they buy the crap this group is saying? What a mess.

All is MOO

Well, his mom turned him in, so I guess they believe her

Maybe they did not tell the story correctly.

LOL! Thank you for a good laugh, katydid!

Yes, for sure, they did not tell the story correctly. What a wonderfully diplomatic way of saying something that I would use harsher words to describe.

Kudos for the inverted-comma "doubters" highlighting 'road rage' in the title here, btw, "to draw attention
to an unusual, ironic, or arguably inaccurate use" of said word or phrase, as the Oxford Dictionary defines it.

I wonder if she turned him in because she knew her son was the one LE was looking for or b/c he threatened to harm himself?

Yes, but then I just watched the presser with LE and I'm it does not sound like that is the case. LE also said that the sketch situation would make more sense once all of the details came out. He also did not rule out a Meyer family arrest.

Phew, so Gary Busey is not off the hook, after all.
This case is so insane I wouldn't be surprised if he really was involved. lol

The news says "tipped off police to her son" so I just assumed she knew. Were they in Erich's car? If so, I think I heard there was a bullet hole in it, so maybe she saw that?

the way I first heard it during the stand off was due to his threats to harm himself

Am I finally just getting too old to keep up with fast paced news or is this just CRAZY CHAOS???

Reporter on CNN says she interviewed Robert Meyer and he said Tammy knew the suspect and tried to counsel him. Jeez. SCRATCHING HEAD HERE!

ETA - Old news! I should have known y'all were already ON IT! LOL!

I want to know what she counseled Erich about and why didn't BadazzBob & his Bobbettes take this bad, bad, evil kid out months ago.

Maybe they'll at least get a Lifetime movie deal and a book contract or something to make up for doing "what (they) had to do to protect (their) family"?

Hope somebody does a profile & in-depth interview with Susan who seems to have adapted the script to accommodate Valentine's day (sweet as saccharine, IMO) & every other twist & turn since Friday or Saturday.

(Yes, AAMOF, I am now fully jaded.)

I wonder if that could be some sort of tactical move by LE. To get RM to think that they believe his BS, and thereby encourage him to keep talking and to continue digging himself in deeper and deeper.

EN may or may not be the shooter, and may or may not have been the first to fire. Charges against him may well be warranted. But I don't for an instant believe that the Meyers family are innocent victims. They're hip-deep in deception and lies, and LE is fully aware of that. IMO.

If they knew him, and had a confrontation with him, how would be possible for them not to know he did it?

IDK--it was dark and they didn't know he was the shooter?? Just trying to give those who are currently the victims the benefit of doubt until we have a bit more info.

KTNV reported today that EN didn't own a car or have a drivers license per neighbors. Neighbors also said EN doesn't match the description/sketch:

How did they come up with the sketch?

If you are, would you like to join me in a rocking chair on the porch of Cracker Barrel? I'm not old, but apparently I'm too old to follow, appreciate the current state of news.

First of all, in my opinion, if one is afraid of someone possibly coming after the me or the rest of my family after already (allegedly) killing my wife, the FIRST thing I would do is inform LE who this person is. I would be afraid of possible retaliation if they were NOT arrested and in jail.

As to the three felony charges, could a gun in his possession match the bullet which struck TM in the head? It is quite possible LE was already investigating EN before it was revealed the family knew him. I don't believe LE is relying solely, if at all, on family statements as they already had disputed the alleged "traffic accident" (sideswiping the family vehicle).

MOO

jeeze now there's a woman who's having a tough day. One month old baby and her 19 yr old carted off to jail on murder charges.......
poor woman needs some sleep.....hopefully RM will back off from her door...

I don't think LE investigated him until his mom call police. He is much smaller that the suspect described by the family. Apparently he also doesn't even have driver's license. I don't think he was even on their radar.

It has crossed my mind that the Meyers knew the kid's identity all along and hoped they would get access to him first. This is what happens a lot in many shootings....the suspect is known but the gang won't give the police the information because they wish to take justice into their own hands......and I just rather called them a gang...oh well.
