That would be good advice. Unfortunate for him, he sort of strikes me as someone who is used to developing his own stories and expecting (demanding?) others believe them.

It may be that he doesn't fully understand that his expectations may not be met. The game has changed. He will probably eventually get a lawyer who explains this to him. (And I understand in general terms he shouldn't need one...though in his specific case he could use someone who lets him know how the real world operates...especially if you appear to be playing fast and loose with the truth.)

I can see him arguing with his own lawyer.

It is not unusual for families to have a 'spokesman' to communicate with the media etc ( heck, I have one relative who probably wishes something tragic would happen just so he could get to be the "spokesman for the family") Usually it is someone with their head on straight, who can communicate well, who can kind of stay above the fray... and let the immediate family grieve in peace. I think Bob is enjoying his 15 min of fame and the truth be damned...

good catch! hopefully LE will look at that too.....

If so they need to try to enhance the footage to see exactly who was riding in BOTH cars.

I assume LE has taken EN's cell phone... so they should at least know WHO he called/texted to come get him ( although I assume it was likely a burner phone) and know if indeed he contacted someone to come get him at the park. Kids never CALL on their phones, they text. WHich makes it easier to follow what happened. Unless EN ditched his phone before LE got him. Im sure by now LE know who was in the audi... but that is all being kept very quiet. Heck, i am guessing half the teens/young adults in the area know who it is... surprised it is so quiet...

EN deleted his IG posts back to 2012/2013....he was probably very busy while the police were asking him to leave his house...

No wonder it took so long for him to surrender...

Does anyone know if texts etc can be retrieved if someone were to delete them off their phone?

I have no doubt that EN is the one who shot Tammy, the police have the right guy... this SHOULD be a cut and dry case. The family knew who was shooting at them. They could identify who he is, where he lives.
Why do the VICTIMS feel the need to lie???? Heck, the suspect I would understand. But the victims???

unless they wanted some special time alone with him first???? possibly??

Oh, my. If you look at Bob's "Likes," he is into some interesting things. I see now (I think) how the whole SYG stuff may have gotten started. Unfortunately, the people on that side of the gun debate and idealogical spectrum have been the most vocal about how irresponsible their behaviors that night were.

yes he was almost ''maniacal'' about ''my house'' and TM being killed at their house......echoes of SYG

See HE is the one posting and talking to the media RM wants this all to be out there and as public as possible.

But there is a world of difference between standing your ground and go out chasing some kid who dissed you...

Enticing someone ((via chase)) is a lot different than uninvited entry MOO per SYG.

Not all condoning what happened with the shootout. No one deserves that.

JMO - kinda funny about the lawyer saying he questions whether it was road rage. Ya think?! Since the defendant doesn't even drive by all accounts. (I haven't read the article yet.)

Technically IF BM was waving a gun... EN could have used SYG to justify shooting the first shots...

Not only did he deliberately not tell LE that the family knew EN, he flat out lied and insinuated that he did tell them, but was asked not to make that information public. Then later that day when asked directly....LE stated that ..no...they were not aware that the M's knew EN. That was a big ole ballsy lie by Bob!
The son also lied about this in a video interview. He said he didn't share with the media that they knew the shooter because they promised to not say anything because it would harm the investigation. We all know that's a lie because LE said they didn't know the family knew who shot their mother until a couple hours before apprehending EN. This was the same police interview where they said the sketch was no longer relevant---immediately after apprehending EM.

I drove by the "scene" again so I could get a better feel for all this and even wanted to take more pics, but there was a police van with a police sitting in it, in front of the park near EN's home I'm assuming. I didn't want to draw attention to myself.. lol so I quickly drove through :blushing: Again, Mt. Shasta is a VERY small cul de sac not much room to really do much driving. In a reenactment video I saw on one of the news channel website (can't remember which), it looked like the driver got out of his car and started shooting towards BM..
I love how you're checking things out for us! The reenactment video is inaccurate if it shows the driver getting out of the car since the driver wasn't EN and EN did the shooting.

Does anyone know if texts etc can be retrieved if someone were to delete them off their phone?

Yes, they can on both iPhone and Android until that space on the phone's memory is written over, IMO.

iPhone https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2594591?start=15

Android http://www.androidpit.com/how-to-recover-deleted-text-messages

Lets hope he still had his phone.. as do BM and KM....
Cell phone companies can provide text messages content even after it's deleted and/or a phone is destroyed. Each carrier has different time periods. Sprint can provide police with content back as far as 90 days. While content of texts is purged within days or months, depending on carrier, data on who and when we texted is kept for up to 7 years with one carrier. What's more frightening is how long carriers keep information about our locations. AT&T keeps location tracking data indefinitely, Version for one year, etc.

Here are links link for anyone interested in knowing how long different types of our data is stored.
