NV - Two LEOs & civilian killed in Las Vegas shootings, 8 June 2014

This article is saying they'd told people they were going to kill police in advance...:(

'The shooters were a married couple thought to be in their late 20s who were new to the Las Vegas Valley, according to a law enforcement official close to the investigation. Police are looking into their links to the white supremacy movement and found swastika symbols during their initial investigation.

Residents of the Bruce Street apartment complex gathered outside the building to talk about the couple whose unit was being searched.

Neighbor Krista Koch described them as “militant.” They talked about planning to kill police officers, “going underground” and not coming out until the time was right to kill.

Brandon Monroe, 22, has lived in the complex for about two weeks. He said the man who lived in the apartment that was being searched often rambled about conspiracy theories. He often wore camouflage or dressed as Peter Pan as a Fremont Street Experience street performer. A woman lived with him, Monroe said, but he didn’t see her as often.'

Well if they were in the Tea Party then they probably liked to bellyache about Obamacare then stay home on election day when they could have voted for people who would have actually gotten rid of it.

Scary. I just keep thinking that this could have been a lot worse. I guess that is the only consolation. It's ironic that I just saw a very old Law and Order last night with a similar theme ... how can you yell and scream about Freedom and then take it away from someone else.

'They were going to kill as many officers as they can and then do away with themselves,' neighbor Krista Koch told ABC. 'They said they didn't believe in the government, the cops, the feds - anything - and they just wanted to get rid of as many as they can.'

I'm not blaming the neighbor for their horrific acts, but I really and truly wish she would have called in an anonymous tip or something. :(

Well, if the below is true, IMO the neighbor has some fault for not calling police to let them know they were leaving with a SHOPPING CART of weapons. SMH

The couple who shot to death two Las Vegas police officers, a third person and then themselves delivered an ominous message as they left their home before the ambush with a shopping cart of weapons, a neighbor said.

"We gotta do what we gotta do," the husband told Kelly Fielder, adding that he and his wife were leaving for an "underground world."

The wife then embraced the neighbor and said, "I am so sorry."

Once again, I'll bet the internet played a part in these two <mod snip> being able to whip themselves into a frenzy over imagined wrongs, conspiracies, and white supremacy nonsense. I wonder if any of the apartment residents tried to turn them in and if police were aware of the two.

I wonder if it's one of those circumstances where what someone is saying is SO outlandish and weird that it doesn't even seem like something anyone would possibly do, so we tend to just think "oh they're just blathering", etc.

But yeah, if only. :(

A lot of info and pics here....

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/06/...-right-wing-conspiracy-nuts-with-a-deathwish/

Neighbors said Jerad Miller claimed he had gone to the Bundy ranch but was asked to leave, and he made similar claims on YouTube. “I was out there but they told me and my wife to leave because I am a felon,” Miller commented April 19. “They don’t seem to understand that they are all felons now for intimidating law enforcement with deadly weapons. So don’t tell you that they need people. We sold everything we had to buy supplies and quit our jobs to be there 24/7. How dare you ask for help and shun us dedicated patriots!”

Amanda Miller set stricter privacy settings than her husband on her own Facebook page, although publicly available photos show the couple dressed as the Joker and Harley Quinn and visiting various sites along the Las Vegas Strip.
