NV - Two LEOs & civilian killed in Las Vegas shootings, 8 June 2014

I think its going to be a long hot summer. There's just something in the air that isn't right. IMO.

I agree.

The last time I had a feeling like this was in the 90s during the Clinton administration, when the home grown, militia types were in the news saying a lot of the same things regarding freedom/guns/etc, talk show hosts and conspiracy hangouts on newsgroups were talking the same, and we had Ruby Ridge, Waco, OKC, among other things.

The rhetoric seems to be reaching an even higher pitch lately.

I'm so angry that the neighbor did not report these <mod snip>. It seemed pretty obvious, that these two people were on a serious mission. Why didn't she notify the police? Maybe the government should start some public service announcements so that people can recognize the signs. But then again, it would probably just stop the potential murderers from blabbing. I just stand the fact that after something terrible happens, people come out of the woodwork to talk about all of the warning signs.

Doubly LE to respond until they are comfortable this is isolated.

Continuing to look into connection with groups at Bundy ranch. Not sure they were white supremacists, but see the police as fascist/anti-government. Believe it was probably a random act. Search warrant search discussed, left apartment about 4:30 (am?) and walked to location.

ABC News about their time at the Bundy ranch:
He said that while details were still sketchy, the Millers' conduct was the problem. He called the couple "very radical" and said they did not "align themselves" with the protest's main issues.

"Not very many people were asked to leave," he said. "I think they may have been the only ones."

Well, when you're too radical for a bunch of radicals, a call to the cops might have been in order? Just so you can sleep at night knowing you reported something out of the ordinary?

Perhaps people are afraid of the FEMA camps.

On another version of the Jared interview at the Bundy gathering which was recently shown on MSNBC, I noticed he had on a T-shirt that said something like -ote For -- rdon for sher---. So of course I had to see if I could figure out who's campaign he was supporting.

It turns out that there is a guy named Gordon Martines who is running for Sheriff of Clark County. On Martines Facebook page regarding this incident it says:

"The Gordon Martines Campaign is saddened by the events yesterday in Las Vegas that left 2 officers and one innocent civilian dead. The shooters came to Nevada and reached out to our campaign to work and we had to deny their involvement after getting to know them and finding out their background and drug use was counter productive to our goals and beliefs. ..."

So, I thought, who is Gordon and why would the Millers want to work for him?

Well, there is quite a bit of information available on him. The article at Las Vegas City Life was interesting. Here is a snippet:

"Martines is technically a Metro cop, a detective, although he’s been on health leave for a couple of years. His campaign platform includes refusing to send friends, family or neighbors to secret FEMA concentration camps and refusing to enforce the Clark County handgun-registration law."

Wearing a sporty blue Hawaiian shirt, Martines spoke recently at a tiny health-food and supplement store in tony Summerlin. (Health-food stores are no longer the province of left-wing hippies.)

“If Martines gets the position of sheriff in this county, things are going to change a bit,” he promised the small crowd of about 20 people squeezed into a storeroom, decorated with a few Ron Paul for President stickers, in the back of the store. “If I am sheriff, there is no law abiding citizen of this county who is going to be sent to a FEMA camp.”

Some people believe that the government is building secret camps to which people will be sent in an inevitable clampdown on the general population. Sightings of black helicopters or National Guard units in training, and reports of emergency response-mass casualty exercises tend to reinforce the conspiracy theory."

Buy gold everybody:scared:

OMGosh, not secret FEMA camps too (Thanks nora!)! I've even had someone insist to me these exist. It's all over the web and evidently there is a lot of fabricated evidence by folks trying to claim these are real, then it just gets passed along as fact.

Slenderman again? Huh.

This has really upset me.......both my brother and father were in the police force here in Australia, and it affects me when police are always the ones targeted by these <mod snip> in society........that is now 5 police shot over there in these random mass shootings in about a week....is that correct???? I can honestly tell you that 99.9% of people who join the police force do so because they want to be on the good side and fight the bad side.........................but I wonder in this day and age, why the hell would you bother
rant over.

You have to read around a lot and connect the dots and see the warning signs. They are there, especially for Jerad.

I was just reading his Dad's FB.

I didn't have to go past his posts from June 5.
Glad they offed themselves, too bad they didn't do it sooner.

BBM-

I don't see how at least two of these - this one and ER could possibly be called random. In both cases the killer(s) said exactly who they wanted to kill and why (though both did end up also taking out others).

Said it wrong! Hating woman and govt is broad. What I meant was , except court not targeted (like a bank robber shooitng a teller) Just going around blowing people away.

For some reason , since ER its has been unreal

'He was just nuts,' says father-in-law of Las Vegas shooter Jerad Miller

t was Amanda, police said, who shot several times at the officers, killed a Wal-Mart shopper who tried to stop her husband, and finally, under fire from police, shot Jerad and then herself, bringing the day’s death toll to five.

she warned that "the people of the world" are "lucky I can’t kill you now but remember one day I will get you because one day all hell will break loose and I’ll be standing in the middle of it with a shotgun in one hand and a pistol in the other.”

far-right-wing movements like Patriot Nation.

I told her, 'If you really love him that much, I'll try to put up with him. But if I ever see a mark on you from him, I'll kill him.”

he played the violin and was a solid student at Jefferson High School. (Boy that is a image from violin to shotgun)

wedding.“I didn’t even want to be there,” he said. “The only reason I was there was because I wanted to walk my daughter down the aisle for the first time. But I puked my head off in the bathroom beforehand because I so didn’t want her to marry him.

Amanda was working at Hobby Lobby and

he learned Monday from the FBI that she had lost her job at Hobby Lobby after she did not show up for work, because she and her husband had traveled to join the standoff between rancher Cliven Bundy and the Bureau of Land Management.

He got kicked out of his family’s house,

I talked to her Friday for the first time in about a month and she seemed happy and fine and everything,” he said. “And then the police show up at 7 o’clock this morning and told us what happened. ( IMO this is suicidal stuff - made dscision and wanted to talk with her dad one time before........)

She was asking about the cats, asking about the dogs, wondered how everything was going with my neck because I had neck surgery in December just before they left. Asking about the neighbors, asking about this and that.”

After seeing the you tube joker rant I don't understand the joker connection. The Colorado theatre shooter also dressed as the joker.

Is the joker a symbol or hidden meaning?

ciao
The Joker was evil. And loved being so..........Holmes a bit different he really believed he was actually the Joker himself IMO. I thin this one was more like evil but knew it was a "statement"...Ho,mes extemely ill and deilisuinal IMO

A lot of you have been here a lot longer than I. Do these past 2 weeks feel "different" than like the last 5 years?

Something is really going wrong

What is going on? People are going crazy lately.
First the rampage in Santa Barbara, this tragedy in Las Vegas,
now I just heard about a gunman in Hollywood that they are in a standoff with currently. And last week where I live there was a gunman roaming around too.( we were told to stay indoors and to keep away from windows)

The world is going crazy it seems.
You missed some! The two 10 year olds who went upstairs to get ice cream and got stabbed - one fatally. THree days before that they think it is a serial stabber - he attacked someone else .

Then the 2 girls who stabbed their friend 19 times. Then the guy in GA that planned on taking the courthouse hostate. Then some shooting at like a Costco or something..........its nuts ..........
