Now that we all have the "bird flu" from Red Tail's we can refocus our efforts on Red Tall's (missing persons).

It is my opinion we shouldn't write this guy off as homeless at all based on his dental work. Some people detest going to a dentist. Others don't have the money to spend on expensive dental work to save teeth, but they are far from homeless.

However, I do think it does go toward figuring his age was older. He strikes me as being well over 30 years old and the t-shirt doesn't change my thoughts on it. The artwork on the t-shirt would resonate with a large population of older men into hiking and nature especially if the shirt turns out to be of higher quality due to being made for such activities.

Gosh, you guys are awesome! You pulled an all nighter! I'm still down with this headache! I'll read every post once it's gone.

Take your time, Tulessa, or the headache will come back.

(I feel positively druggy today, and I swear I only had 1 Benadryl after last night's posting party.)

Hope your headache goes away soon. :(

Here's Fisherman's Wharf, in San Francisco, the site of where that Singapore company allegedly sold Xeroxed copies of his tee (or other) "I got Crabs" design--wouldn't be surprised if they used his hawk one(s) as well:

There are a couple of things posters can do if they are willing. Anyone up for a search on WS for corresponding threads to the list of missing people that we have submitted?

I can put together another list with the alpha list corresponding to links here on WS for their cases. Sometimes we have family or friends that stop by and post on the WS thread - which might offer more info to LEO once they have ruled out many and need somewhere to look further. Just a thought and it was something I had planned on doing once I got through all the doenetwork (I'm nearly done).
How do we best do this without duplicating each others work?

Good question. How about we find people with threads here and leave a link to this thread on those? I don't think we need the links to their threads listed on this one since the detectives are quickly ruling them out.

Do we have a list of those ruled out or is that being done on the original list of people as we go? I do use Wenwe's list when I find missing before I post them to see if they are already there. Very helpful!

Maybe divvy the job up by assigning a missing date/year to explore for each volunteer searcher?

It might just be easier to start with the alpha list (as the Rule Outs are listed with the corresponding post number that confirms that). The most recent list is post #1234. Further rule outs are being worked on by analysts at the Detectives offices as we speak. Once I have that info - I will update the list.

(a few new missing persons have been added since then but that was since this morning)

I would suggest the best way would be to offer to take a letter of the alphabet and declare that for yourself (if it has not already been declared). This is the easiest way I can think of without having multiple duplicates. If someone's name on the missing lists included "aka" I also included those under each alpha category.

Hope this helps - I am continuing though the doenetwork in each State from 1987 or 1988 through 1993 and am nearly done.

Can't remember if it was posted already, but our artist Jim Kitson was formerly "of Santa Clara Avenue on the Island." Apparently also a reporter for the Island Life publication:

And someone who loved collecting animal bone and skull samples for his graphic art purposes (which is related to what the border patrol found in the bag in the above post). Can't remember if this is the same obituary, but it is at least similar:

I am so glad you are on top of this because I am already confused. ;) Great job, Wenwe! Keep up the excellent work!

And there's the possibility of accident -- car accident, getting hit in the face with a puck or baseball, etc. And orthodonture. Facial surgery. And just plain bad luck. I'm missing almost as many teeth as he is but four of them are wisdom teeth and the others are because the dentist who removed my wisdom teeth way back when was a hack and damaged the teeth in front of them.

Here is a 2nd memorial page linked from the same publication (2015 edition) about Jim Kitson:

http://www.thehighsierra.org/jim_kitson.htm

Includes many memories, photos, and names of friends who loved him.
I read that one early this morning and thought he could be the one, but couldn't find any of his work to compare. He really seemed like a great fella and was dearly loved. Glad they found the raccoon with his signature! Yay!

Thanks for the amazing job you have done to submit the majority of those names, Wenwe!

Mervyn's. (I'm still catching up on the thread so forgive me if someone else already said this. Also still looking for someone else to have done you guys's side by side comparison not that it still needs it, you obviously found the image. Any chance this guy wasn't wearing a shirt but instead had his own backpack aroudn his neck and arm when he was found, in fragments?)

I went to sleep in my chair last night trying to catch up here and my computer went into sleep mode! I went to bed without turning it off and have been gone all day. I did get as far as the backpack posts and had the same question you have, GGE. That would certainly seem possible. We don't know if the neckband of the t-shirt was there or not, but it is double material whereas the body of the t-shirt is not. Why would the thinner material have survived and the double material of the neckband not?

This has probably already been answered and I shouldn't post until I've caught up on the thread. I do know that the detectives have not disclosed whether or not the neckband of the T-shirt was found on the neck area of the body.

Great going, everyone! I'm anxious to read the rest of the thread!
