Maybe it's because I'm in Australia that I can't see the above Trump deposition video.

But I can see this one. It seems like an abrupt start. Is this the whole thing, ie like the one above

I don't have a link, but I am pretty sure I remember reading today that what was released had been edited by the court for legal purposes.

I cannot bring myself to watch one second of <mod note - Trump> speaking under any circumstances. When I see him on TV I immediately change the channel. I know that every word out of his mouth is a lie

I only lasted about 20 minutes, I just couldn't keep looking and listening to him.

It starts at the same point in the questioning and is about the same length, so I'd say so. I made it through about 20 minutes as well.

He sounded totally bored and condescending for most of it until he got verbally aggressive and insulting to EJC’s attorney.

Hard to believe. He’s usually so articulate and interested in what another person is asking of him! He was aggressive and insulting? Was she being really, really mean and rude to him? :cool: IMO

I couldn't stomach watching/listening ( I prefer reading things so I can skip over what I don't want to read about ;) ), but read about this little nugget regarding one of the things he said, in MSM article just now (BBM):

"Donald Trump made a bizarre statement in his videotaped deposition that may have blown up his entire case, a CNN analyst said Friday.

During his deposition in the civil case over allegations he raped author E. Jean Carroll in a Manhattan dressing room in the 1990s, Trump appeared to lean into his remarks in the explosive Access Hollywood tape that “when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the (expletive).”

In video of Trump's deposition released Friday, Roberta Kaplan, an attorney representing Carroll, is heard asking the former president that for stars if “it’s true, that they can grab women by the (expletive)?”

Trump replies: “Well if you look over the last million years that’s been largely true. Not always, but largely true. Unfortunately or fortunately.”" :rolleyes: o_O :eek:

We write on behalf of Plaintiff E. Jean Carroll to update the Court about the two statements that Defendant Donald J. Trump made about this case on Truth Social on April 26, 2023, the second day of trial in this action.
We flagged these posts to Your Honor as soon as we learned of them, raising our concern that Mr. Trump was improperly making extrajudicial statements about inadmissible and prejudicial evidence. See Trial Tr. at 106–112, 240. Your Honor acknowledged this concern, stating that Mr. Trump seemed to be “basically endeavoring certainly to speak to his ‘public,’ but, more troublesome, to the jury in this case about stuff that has no business being spoken about.” Id. at 109; see also id. at 111 (statement “seems highly inappropriate”). The next day, Mr. Trump’s counsel reported that he had spoken with his client about the posts. He represented that the posts would be taken down in short order.

To be clear, we have no doubt that Mr. Tacopina spoke to his client about this and sincerely believed that the posts would be taken down. Unfortunately, the posts remain available on Truth Social as of the time of this filing. See Exs. A, B (Truth Social posts as of May 7, 2023). For the reasons previously stated, we continue to object to Mr. Trump’s public statements about evidence the Court held to be inadmissible at trial and remain concerned about the prejudice that his statements may have already caused Plaintiff in these proceedings.

Same. This is why I haven't really followed the trial and only periodically check in on this thread for any updates. It's just about preserving my sanity at this point, lol

Let me get this straight....he claims Ms. Carroll is not his type, but in the deposition he mistakes her photo for being his then wife, Marla Maples. So Maples, the mother of one of his children was also not his type?

Awh, not yet. I would guess that he's going to wait until Tuesday night too post that he plans to give his tremendous evidence, but the judge who hates him and is out to get all good Americans and destroy the broken justice system won't allow him to.

In our Sydney Morning Herald today. They are being supportive of EJC, while maintaining journalistic balance in telling both sides of the story.


Here was the once gregarious writer on one side, still impeccably dressed but frail and occasionally fragile, facing off against Trump’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, a hard-nosed Brooklyn litigator with the frame of a heavyweight boxer, who was seemingly asserting what a rape victim should look like.
