NY - 2 yr old sexually attacked by Pitbull, Tonawanda

  • #21
The above link didn't say where the mom was. I copied/pasted this for you. The mother was apparently somewhere in the house.

"The initial assault happened inside the family residence and the dog became frightened when the mother screamed," said Det. Capt. Larry Eggert, with the Lockport Police Dept.
The child's mother watched as the child was taken outside, dragged by the dog. Neighbors rescued the child outdoors.
Thanks Kahskye....I just dont know what to make of this whole story.....Ive never heard of anything like it before.

I've just learned more about the copulation of dogs than I thought I would ever. Apparantly it is the male dog that has parts that swell to lock them in place and then gradually the swelling goes down so they can separate. This poor, poor child, having to endure this! There is no way that dog did this without prompting of some sort. LE better check out thoroughly all the people in that house!

I learned this from answers.com.
The male dog has a bulbus glandis, a spherical area of erectile tissue at the base of the penis, which traps the penis inside the female's vagina during copulation as it becomes engorged with blood.
Once the penis is locked into the vagina by the bulbus glandis, the male will usually lift a leg and swing it over the female's back while turning around. The two stand with their hind ends touching and the penis locked inside the vagina while ejaculation occurs, decreasing leakage of semen from the vagina. After some time, typically 5 - 20 minutes (but sometimes longer), the bulbus glandis disengorges, allowing the mates to separate.

I don't even know what to think about this one.

Yes, I just listened to it and it was indeed graphic. It is true that dogs will "lock" themselves together when breeding. The child was dragged by the dog, meaning the dog was "locked" in him. The family willingly gave up the dog and they don't want it back. Very strange indeed, but may be true after listening to the interview. Prayers to the little boy.

I thought the "locking" of dogs was a result of the shapes of canine penises and vaginas. I don't think it would work the same with a human, not even a toddler.

I'm not saying they didn't have trouble getting the dog off the child, but at least as I have heard dog "locking" described, it wouldn't be the same phenomenon.

(ETA: Sorry, didn't read the whole thread. Apparently this has been covered. But I'm still not sure whether a dog could "lock" with a child.)

Ya know, the more I think about this, the more I doubt it. I can understand a male dog "locking" into the female's vagina, due to it's shape. It gets narrower, an anus remains straight! There would be no place for the dog's penis to "lock" in the toddler's anus. Sorry to be so graphic describing this, but I'm now not buying it.

Of course, the dog might have dragged the child without being technically "locked."

Yeah, that's true. I'm just wondering what prompted this. You would think the child would have to be naked. Where was the mother before she heard his screams? I mean, it would seem that the dog might not get direct aim the first time, if you know what I'm saying. This is just so sickening. I haven't even been able to eat dinner after reading this.

I don't know that we have to credit the dog's aim. He may have just hit that spot by accident.

I agree, it is sickening.

i bet some sick thing held that child .. if you get my drift .then the dog got out of control and ect .. my god how disgusting

I don't think so...that's my first reaction. Wouldn't a 2 year old be in a diaper? Did they let the child run around butt nekkid all day?

None of mine were in diapers at age 2, and yes they ran around naked most of the time. It is how I potty trained them. That said, this is such a peculiar and sick story. My prayers to that baby boy. I hope that he doesn't remember any of this when he gets older.

All of my children were in diapers at age 2. Its still hard to believe the child was running around stark naked and the dog just got him. poor little thing. I hope he is ok and never remembers it.

Are you very familiar with pitbulls? Why are you so sure they wouldn't *rape a human?

*I am sorry, I cannot even consider the accusation as "just having intercourse" when a child is involved.

I don't think this requires familiarity with pitbulls to question this story...

This kid had to have been running around naked and there's no way this dog just mounted him and immediately stuck it in (sorry to be so graphically gross).

If this dog did sexually assault this child, something just ain't right. Why would you allow this kid any kind of direct contact with a pit bull for it to happen??

Hinky meter is pegged on this one!!

Yes I am. I own a dog which is 1/2 German Shepard and 1/2 Pit and he is the sweetest, most loving dog my family and I have ever owned.

Have you EVER heard of a dog having intercourse with a human being? See I haven't and can't grasp this really happening.

LisainWV,
I agree with everything you said. I'd like to know if the toddler was alone in the room with the dog. Was anyone in the room with the toddler when the dog attacked him.

Im not even considering what breed the dog was, to me that is not an issue

I like dogs but think they are a little too humanized when most are just beasts that only think of eating and being animals. I can see an animal doing something like this, but don't understand why exactly unless it thought the child was an animal. I'd think that it would need some sort of scent to do something like that.

Ive seen dogs try to do it to towells and slippers and I couldnt understand that.....let alone this.

Some 35 years ago I read a book written by a Judge, never forgot one of the stories told. A married couple had molested two young girls themselves & using their 2 doberman pinchers. The dogs had been humanly sexualized & therefore had to be put down as there was no way to deprogram them.

It was when I became aware of "grooming" & that there were evil, sick people out there who looked normal & neighborly, that you can't judge a book by it's cover & that only time displays a persons character.

Life lessons that I treasure to this day.

Hump yes...........have intercourse with humans? I'm still saying no.

I was once interested in a man I found online in my hometown and googled his email address to find more information on him. There was a website he posted on that had to do with pets - and I thought "How cool, a guy who likes animals." I clicked on the link to read his posts...

Animals definitely DO have sex with humans - but they have to be groomed to do so, I learned from this site. Male dogs definitely can lock with humans. I also learned that I can't see the world the way these people do.

I decided I wasn't interested in this person, for obvious reasons, and I decided that I was never going to click on any link that said anything about pets ever again. Ever.

Definitely fell into the TMI catagory, but it's not something you soon forget.
