Would love to see the police report to see what it was about!

WOnder if after that it he asked for help on the pressure cookers? Was surprised to learn that it was actually more powerful than Boston

Has anyone seen the video of him with rolling bag?

Waiting for ISIS to take credit - there slow on this one!

Anderson did not know what crowdsourcing was - even I know that.

I saw the video of him rolling the bag. Looked like a girlie backpack on wheels.

Rachel's program has been a wealth of new info tonight. Way more than I can detail or even remember.

One topic was the difference in explosives used in the bombs. And, in addition to a bunch of trips to Afghanistan, he made 3 trips to Pakistan. One trip to a "hotbed" city. Watch for NYTimes reporting on this.

Wasn't the Chelsea bomb right outside a residential facility for the blind? I can't even imagine how terrifying that was for them. I hope they are all somewhere with lots of support right now.

The locations of the Chelsea bombs are odd, I agree, considering it's a populated area with both residents and people in the area for the evening. Maybe he was chicken that he would be seen where it's more populated, like at intersections with more restaurants and people? IDK.
I kinda think it makes sense now.
Chelsea bomb= he hated LGBQT
Charity run= he hated the military
The pressure cooker that didnt explode, I believe it was put there as a diversion from the direction he wanted the focus.

The apartment above the chicken shack doesn't look big enough that it would be easy to hide bomb making. I suppose the bombs could have been assembled elsewhere. Either way, others had to be aware. I wonder had he got the pressure cookers. Ordering though a restaurant supply would be one way and one that wouldn't raise suspicion. Buying multiple pressure cookers at a single retailer might have caused concern but spreading the buys around from several stores would have been more under the radar. MOO

Yes, I agree about the Chelsea neighborhood was chosen because of the LGB community there.

But, I wonder about the location WITHIN that neighborhood. It's a lively place - lots of people there on a Saturday night at restaurants, subway stations, etc. It's odd that he picked the residential and more quiet sections of the blocks. It's odd to me (though I'm VERY glad he didn't inflict more harm and fear than he did).

I wish we could find out what establishments were near the first explosion - a gay bar nearby?? Or a gay bar near the other one?? There has to be some reason for his placement.

Was there a pounding disco nearby - that stays open until 2?
Using Google street view and based on random things I have heard on TV, the block on 23rd does not seem to be populated with late night business like bars and restaurants. There might be a restaurant near the corner, but that particular block seems to be taken up with the 2 or 3 year renovation of the blind building and maybe even another building or two. There is a gym across the street (if its still there), maybe the little twerp was jealous of the workout guys.

Snip

Sires said his office wrote a letter to the U.S. embassy in Pakistan to check on the status of the case and the woman eventually received a visa. He said he didn’t know if she ever came to the country, and the FBI didn’t answer when called on Monday.

Rahami was a student at a local community college from 2010 to 2012 where he studied criminal justice.

Rahami has been ordered held on $5.2 million bail after being charged with five counts of attempted murder.

If it's typewritten Arabic on the internet, you can copy and paste into googletranslate.

If it's not on the 'net or if it's in an image rather than text, then you need to know the language.
