This hit very close to my heart. Apparently, a new patient with dementia, was put in with an existing patient at a nursing home, and the 95 year old woman, killed her roommate.

Wow. That is scary. Currently I have two family members in nursing home facilities. How do I know that they are safe?! Randomly, a roommate could be assigned...scary!

Galina Smirnova, 95, was jailed at Rikers Island on charges in connection with the death of a 89-year-old woman at a New York City nursing home.
