Seems strange that the paternal grandparents were given custody after their son killed his mother.

I think the fact the mom's stepfather sexually molested her as a child, and the her mother kidnapped her children and kept them from their bio father were the reasons.

Since the young child's parents KNEW this man was a child sex offender, I think they should have be held criminally negligent for this act. Parents (caregivers) are legally responsible for their child's wellbeing and safety. This child was given to the RSO on a silver platter by her parents. I'm disgusted.

New York man who was once a poster child for missing children was sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison Friday for sexually assaulting and trying to strangle a 10-year-old girl, according to Albany County District Attorney David Soares.

Thank goodness the little girl got away. What was the dad THINKING? Why in the world would you think a 10 year old was better off or safer in the custody of a rapist, instead of just being left home alone? Not that it's a good idea to leave a 10 year old home alone, because your worst fear is that some RAPIST will come along. Geez.

"Little Adam Croote" was no longer a poster child. He was a severely damaged adult and no parent should have let their child be alone with him.

That being said, as sad as his childhood was, I am glad he is behind bars.

The missing child grew up to be a criminal. There are many who have horrible childhood and turn out fine.

This poor little girl. He tried to snap her neck. He picked her up from the bus stop and after she went into the kitchen the poor child comes out to find a grown man naked who rapes her and tries to murder her.

He was already an RSO having attacked a woman from a group home who was driving the van. He then purposely crashed the van into a wall.

That's because we have a CHOICE. We can change our life, or we can continue the cycle of abuse. Clearly this guy choose the latter.
