Bus monitor charged with sexually assaulting child on bus

Ynnad White, a school bus monitor charged with 6 counts of predatory sexual assault of a 7 year old boy on the bus. The incidents occurred between March and June if 2021.

I want to follow this case and can't find any online court records. Can anyone help? Please. Thank you.

Also, does this perp look familiar, or is it just me?

Awful. I was curious about what “First Student” was (the article states he was a bus monitor for First Student). It is apparently the yellow school bus company that has a contract with the Albany Public School district. The article above doesn’t spell it out or spell out if the driver drove public or private Albany students. I would hope they would name which schools he drove for so that parents could talk to their children. There are many schools in the district.

ETA:
Many social media accounts. His LinkedIn says he is in Navy reserves which fits with one of his social pics in the navy coveralls and appears to be below deck.

I had no luck with case search. No results with his name. Confusingly, Albany city or county court are not listed as participating in the e court system, yet Albany city court is listed in the drop down menu.
Hope someone familiar with Albany system can assist. https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/we...&textJudgeName=&rbOutputFormat=HTML&txtEmail=

One of the articles listed the school district and indicates First Student provided transportation for elementary and special needs students.

I think this must have been a special needs student that required a monitor. Special needs students get home to school and school to home transportation. There would be too many students on a big bus for the monitor to hide his behavior.

I'll see if I can mess with how to work the Courts website. I tried to look up specific information regarding a case I sat on Jury Duty for a few years ago, because I thought it'd be a good control for learning the site, but even that turned up no results.

I heard about this earlier in the week. The only hits I really get on the name through are news articles from the last 5 days.

There are ~200 comments on the Albany Police Department's Facebook post regarding it.

Appreciate it very much!

There's a link to his facebook on the APD post (Edit: Just remembered that's already here though!). Not too much useful information in the comments on the police department's website. A lot of outraged people and bus drivers/monitors talking about their experiences at the job.

Is more specific information being looked for? Or just generally want to follow the case?

I think the original poster was looking for the typical court information.
Is there bond? How much?
Is he out on bond?
When is his next appearance? What kind of hearing? Will there be livestream?

this is the kind of transparency most cities and states offer… seems hard to find in Albany.

Got it. Okay, I can also see if I know anyone who knows how to use the courts page/what's going on with it. Being a state employee though, I'm not super surprised at the lack of ease to use the site/lack of transparency with regard to information.

I get the Times Union too, which is our main local newspaper. If anything relevant shows up there I'll post.

Albeit an uncommon name I couldn't even find him in whitepages.

Could he have aliases?

@Cubby he doesn't look familiar. Depending on different pics and poses he's a beat A-Rod crossed with our old Mafi guy Skinny Joey Merlino.

This is it exactly.

I'm also curious what size bus, 9 passenger, 15 passenger, wheel chair? Was it in a Van?

I'm puzzled how the driver was unaware this going on for months.

All school transportation vehicles have mirrors designed for the driver observe students.

So many questions.... I really want to follow this, and the trial.

That's the argument a lot of people have been making on the APD's post about it. How could the driver not know? Lots of mentions about mirrors and the like.

From the photos on the company website and their instagram it looks like their fleet is mostly full size yellow busses, but there's no indication of how many people were on the bus at the time of the incidents.

Those are my questions too. Those big mirrors pick top the entire interior of the bus. I guess he may have been doing things that were hidden by the seat in front of him.

I am curious what a bus monitor does? Help kids boards and unboard? Or is he an aide to a particular student?

If they dont have a full bus of students scheduled , they use the smaller buses for that area. But I suppose the victim may have been one of the last dropped off, so less students there at the time.

But then even more reason for driver to notice...

A bus monitor has various responsibilities. They assist the driver with students in wheelchairs. Students who can't remain in their seat. Students with behavioral problems, or medical problems and may ride with the students personal nurse.

The perps linked in page mentions utilizing his "hands on experience" or education. He went to great lengths to get access to a child in a position where he thought he would not get caught.

That's what we call a predator!

Hoping the student is doing as well as expected. Horrific as it is to hurt children this is worse. JMO

I used to work in the office at a middle school. One year they asked me to take a job as a teacher's aide in a Special Needs class. They really needed someone in an emergency.

Later I found out that they had to quickly fire someone that was supposed to start because they found out he had been fired at a previous school for inappropriate stuff----and the teacher told me she had been trying to hire males because the 12 and 13 yr old boys need male influence to help her keep them in line.

But she had 2 of them in a row that she decided were actually predators, and not just caring helpers.
