From linked video and article, his family says he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease five years ago. He had wandered before, but this is the first time he has left without his phone. He also left without his medication and without money. He was seen on surveillance video at 4pm, leaving his apartment at West 70th and West End in New York City (can be seen in the linked YouTube video.)
The family has checked hospitals, shelters and parks. He is a NY Yankee fan, and the family went to the Bronx to search around Yankee Stadium.
If anyone sees him, the family asks that they approach him and say his name, then accompany him to the police. He doesn't like to ask for help, and they think he is probably sitting quietly somewhere. On the missing poster the NYC PD gives his full name as Gonzalo Alberto Saldana Mayorga, but in the interview with his family his name is given as Alberto Saldana.
