Missing SUNY Broome student Alexander Wetzel sought by Binghamton police

Binghamton police are looking for a 19-year-old SUNY Broome Community College student, who went missing Tuesday.

Alexander J. Wetzel was last in contact with his family around 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, Binghamton police said. He was believed to be operating a gold-colored 2005 Volvo XC90.

12 News reached out to Binghamton Police to find out if they believe Wetzel is in any danger. Officers refused to comment.

He is described as a white male, 5’09” weighing 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Police say the missing SUNY Broome student, Alexander Wetzel, has been found.

Authorities have not provided anymore details.

I hope those comments are not true...so sad if so. This is my home town, I took some courses there many years ago...small campus, no dorms at least not then. I hope college life/stress was not a factor. An accident is better than any of the alternatives...jmo

His family sounded the missing alarm very quickly. I'm glad they were taken seriously.
I have yet to read the comments mentioned above. I will be holding Alexander and his family in the light.
