Seriously, this nation has to provide a better way for women to be held responsible. I know selling a baby is illegal, and there are more cons than pros to it, but I wish we could make it worthwhile to moms who want to "throw away" their babies with the trash to give them to authorities so a proper home could be found. I would have loved that baby girl.

A Lackawanna woman who discarded her newborn infant in a trash tote has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Prosecution and defense lawyers both confirmed Monday that Alicia Zebrun accepted the deal in which she pleaded to second degree manslaughter.
