Thank you for this SurfieTX. This is very different from the details shared by the local ABC affiliate. All I will say is, I am thankful the girl finally told her mom, and LE was notified. Her tweets cannot be taken back, and for whomever those remains belong to, my heart hurts for them even more.

I hope this becomes a teachable moment about social media for parents and teenagers. A girl can hope.... :sigh:

I can't begin to imagine the nightmares the 14 year old girl could have. The events of last night will replay in her mind; over & over.

My heart breaks for his parents; family; loved ones & friends. I hope they were able to tell everyone in their circle before it was released to the press. The last MP case I was on; everyone was not notified.

Does anyone know how far he was found from where he went missing? Was this area searched?

Many details here including pictures and videos of what was found.

Brand and size of shoe matches Avonte. Underwear and jeans were found. Torso has been found. This is 11 miles from the school.

The teen took a picture of limb to show her mother who then called police.

While we're all praying for the family; wanting details hoping it's not him... it really ticks me off when LE do this.

Good question. My friend & I were just discussing this. The last MP case we were on Chris Sexton age 23 WV went missing Oct 15; found Dec 6. His body supposedly had just started to decompose; it's how he was found. A citizen smelled something; went to see what it was.
