Nothing in msm for more than 2 days.. This is the latest update from FindAvonte.com:

MESSAGE FROM AVONTE'S BROTHER DANNY: It has now been a full month...Each day that passes without Avonte being found is more devastating than the previous. I still feel your energy Avonte, I know you are out there somewhere. It has been near impossible to check and discern the thousands of leads from bystanders, volunteers, psychics, "prophets", and pranksters..but we are trying and we aren't giving up. I wish this upon no family ever. Our lives will never be the same. Miss and love you Avonte. Thank you volunteers for your continued help. Some of you have even taken the liberty to defend my family from many of these ill-mannered and hateful comments we receive...Thank you. Let us all please work hard on searching for and spreading the awareness about my little brother. Nothing would make me more thankful than to see him at our dinner table for Thanksgiving.... God bless.

Thanks for the update. I had such high hopes he would be found safe by now. Unfortunately, my hopes of a safe recovery are dwindling as the days go by.
It is such a sad case.

Regarding the brothers comments, I find it so terribly sad that his family had to deal with some public remarks that he mentions. It is just crazy and cruel how some people can be.

Welcome, aspiesmom. :) I read the FB link. I see it's been called in to Crime Stoppers. Hopefully we'll hear an update soon.

There are starting to appear different types of these devices. Be sure to read up on their functions and what type of equipment you need to get it to work.

I did some research on some of these, and some of them are not as fancy as they make it sound and some of them need a certain type of phone to communicate with it.

As with most things, it seems like the more expensive ones have the better features.

Interesting. So was there not one administrator or desk clerk who could have stayed behind to call the parents and LE?? They wasted 45 minutes out "looking" for him? What a pity. I would be upset, too. However... the guard at the exit who saw him run out should have made an attempt to stop him, or follow him, or even alerted staff to send someone out to follow him. This was senseless and uncalled for.

I called it in too, just to make sure in my mind that the Crime Stoppers "got it". They confirmed they received this bus tip.

Avonte was last seen on surveillance video running out of Center Boulevard School. Three hours later, bloodhounds traced his scent to a marsh near his school, but lost the trail, a source close to the investigation said.

An hour later, the bloodhounds picked up his scent again, this time at a nearby subway station, the source said...."

That's certainly hopeful, isn't it? That's a really good sign! Maybe he's not in the water after all.
