Yes, to this, plus perhaps money laundering, imo.

When you can't figure out the flow of money, that's not a sign that things are on the up and up, in my observation.

True. Which is why LE always follows the money.

I am so glad this creep has finally been arrested, and may he never see the light of day again.

I've read a lot about him in the last two days and as others have noted, the source of his wealth is murky at best.

My theory: blackmail. Birds of a feather flocked to him and he obtained compromising information about them as a result.

Also: human sex trafficking. Those with enough money can pay for any sick thing they want at the expense of those held in slavery.

I hope all of his associates who share his depraved interests are revealed and taken down with him. I don't care who they are, what they do, or what their political affiliation is. Turn that nasty rock over and let's see what's under it.
Well said!!

I'm sure today will be covered by every news source, but there is now a live stream on youtube (not MSM, but search for coverage live outside the courthouse).

So according to the link about sex trafficking it is for a minor? So assuming if it's not a minor it would be prostitution? That's how I understood it.

I'm not sure, but I think there is a difference between trafficking charges and prostitution charges. You can traffic minors and/or adults (for prostitution, forced labor like housekeeping, etc) and you can be involved with prostitution at any age. It does seem like charge are missing, doesn't it?

I'm not a lawyer!

Very curious how this will unfold. Fingers crossed justice will be served (I remain skeptical that anything will be different this time than in the past....but hopeful).

Will be surprised if MSM continues to be avoid this, to me it's huge and I'm so glad that he's off the streets. This guy is the lowest of low.

Though I am not a lawyer either, there is a difference between the two charges. Usually prostitution related charges are centered on either being a prostitute or patronizing one. Some states have enhancements for patronizing under aged prostitutes. Ignorance is of course, no excuse if the DA wants to pursue the enhancement.

Meanwhile, trafficking is a separate charge that is based, as you implied: directing prostitution via force or coercion. As with prostitution, there could well be enhancements if the trafficked prostitutes are under age.

Then factor in that Epstein could be facing prostitution related charges in regards to minor "A" and trafficking charges in regards to minors "B", "C" and "D".

You're right. He is the lowest of low....preyed on the young and set up people all around him so they couldn't speak out without implicating themselves.

People KNEW what was happening. Journalists told the story over and over and over - this is nothing new. But nothing was done. And when something was finally done....it was done with a smirk and a smile that the dumb, young victims wouldn't see justice for crimes against them - the victims were kept out of the process. That makes me almost angrier than the original crimes.

1. As set forth herein, over the course of many years, JEFEREY EPSTEIN, the defendant, sexually exploited and

abused dozens of minor girls at his homes in Manhattan, New

York, and Palm Beach, Florida, among other locations.

2. In particular, from at least in or about 2002, up

to and including at least in or about 2005, JEFFREY EPSTEIN, the

defendant, enticed and recruited, and caused to be enticed and

recruited, minor girls to visit his mansion in Manhattan, New

York (the "New York Residence") and his estate in Palm Beach,

Florida (the "Palm Beach Residence") to engage in sex acts with

him, after which he would give the victims hundreds of dollars

in cash. Moreover, and in order to maintain and increase his

supply of victims, EPSTEIN also paid certain of his victims to recruit

additional girls to be similarly abused by EPSTEIN. in

Unsealing has happened...

"Jeffrey Epstein indictment unsealed moments ago. The Manhattan billionaire faces two counts of sex trafficking. Indictment says he “sexually exploited and abused dozens of minor girls at his homes in Manhattan... and Palm Beach.”

Just read the indictment. Question about the last section on forfeiture. He has to forfeit is residence?? Before a verdict? I'm lost - someone help me understand that section. TIA!

I’m not sure
I thought it was because he already pleaded guilty to these crimes and it should have forfeited previously
