I'm not seeing information in today's indictment about JE offering the girls to others....so I don't think this case is going to topple the elite like people are thinking it's going to do.

??

I don't think so either, but pretty sure Acosta will be fired from his job.

5:30 arrested at Tetorboro without incident
Charges cover at least a 4-year period, dozens of minor girls
Recruited usually by Epstein's employees

  • #104
Epstein 3x or more than 3x the age of victims

The villains are the adult perpetrators NOT the children.

  • #106
Villains are the adult perpetrators, not the victims.

(Making a point of the office commitment to advocating for victims and listening to victims. Again, I think they are making a point that they are not doing what happened in FL with the deal that was made without victim knowledge.)

Describing what happens when a victim calls 1800CALLFBI.

(Good idea to do that - can be intimidating to not know when reporting a crime)

Yes, he said to the victims "In the eyes of the FBI, you come first." That's good to hear.

ETA: Said federal prosecutors were not a party to the previous "non-prosecution agreement" that was made in the Southern District Court in FL. Assume this refers to federal prosecutors in NY?

Q: Why handled by public corruption office?
(I can't hear the answer!)

Answer: Not getting into the staffing decisions by the State's Atty office. Urge not to read into the unit assignment one way or the other.

No comment about Prince Andrew

They consider him a flight risk. He's wealthy, has two planes and spends most of each year outside the US.

Why still pursuing? It's an important case. Victims need to have their day in court.

  • #118
Significant flight risk.
45 years possible sentence is essentially a life sentence for a man his age. Spends time abroad. Consider him a flight risk.

  • #119
Dozens of victims in NY and in FL over several years. This is significant case.

  • #120
Q: Why the case now?
A: Important case. Important for victims to have their day in court.
