Though the name of Epstein’s texting partner is redacted in the documents, time-stamps on the text messages matched up with video from the hearing, as well as the messages’ contents, appear to indicate that Epstein was texting with Del. Stacey Plaskett, a Democrat who represents the U.S. Virgin Islands as its nonvoting delegate in the House of Representatives.

Reached by phone Thursday, Plaskett declined to answer questions about the text messages and directed all inquiries to her congressional staff. Plaskett’s chief of staff, Angeline Jabbar, said Thursday she was “not in a position to confirm or not” whether the congresswoman was texting with Epstein at the hearing.

From the link, "The messages show Epstein was invested in what Cohen was sharing about Trump, the financier’s former friend, during his [House Oversight Committee] testimony."

Of note, months later...

...indicates that from prison Cohen is instructing his lawyers to offer presumably incriminating evidence against Trump and (just-indicted) Epstein. Cohen "has heard Trump say things about Epstein".

It's significant because up until this email was released by DOJ, on the one hand Cohen's hearing/publicity/book/etc portray Trump adversarially and yet he had tried to imply all along that Trump wasn't really a pedophile despite all other evidence emerging and/or being COVERED UP.

I am guessing that this is the DOJ response to the recent request for a special master to force the release of the files.

"Justice Department officials said in a letter submitted to two federal judges Thursday that they are making "substantial progress" reviewing items related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein -- but gave no indication when additional material would be released.

The letter said "over five hundred" federal prosecutors and staff members from the Southern District of New York and the Justice Department's criminal division are reviewing and redacting millions of pages from the investigations into Epstein and co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell.

The review has found "substantial" duplication in various files, so the estimated number of documents is "in flux," the letter said."

I'm going to have to read this a few times because it's complicated, but tied with Epstein finances.

Dick Sr.’s trust company, La Hougue, is now a key target of the US Senate Finance Committee’s investigation into how the late convicted pedophile and former Maxwell boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein financed his international child sex trafficking ring,

Cohen is currently undermining his own credibility, fwiw, setting himself up as a person nobody should believe about anything he says.

"Judge Paul A. Engelmayer was told in a letter signed by U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton that he must reject a request this week by the congressional cosponsors of the Epstein Files Transparency Act to appoint a neutral expert."

One month after the congressionally mandated deadline to release all its files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the Justice Department has made only a fraction of the files public — and it remains silent on its plans to fully comply with the law.

Also keeping quiet about the DOJ delays are congressional Republicans, almost all of whom voted in November to release the records after spending months heeding President Donald Trump’s opposition to the move.

A federal judge DENIES a request by Reps. Khanna and Massie to appoint a special master to release the Epstein files.Their request is "important" and "timely," but the appropriate vehicle may be a lawsuit or Congress, the judge says.

"Officials at TikTok say they are looking into why many users have been unable to send the word "Epstein" in direct messages, an issue that garnered widespread attention on social media Monday and prompted California Gov. Gavin Newsom to announce an inquiry into the matter.

The timing isn't lost on anyone.

It comes just days after TikTok finalized a sale that gave a consortium of mostly American investors control of TikTok's business in the U.S,

Among the lead investors is tech firm Oracle, which is run by billionaire Larry Ellison."

“The Department of Justice’s official story is that they’re in the process of redacting the files to protect the identity of victims,” said Rob Goodman, an associate professor of politics and public administration at Toronto Metropolitan University, in an interview with CTV Your Morning Tuesday. “But that’s not really a position that the victims themselves accept.”

“Part of the reason the Department of Justice is taking so long ... is that they feel like they work for the (U.S.) President (Donald Trump),” he said. “Pam Bondi, the (U.S.) Attorney General … is essentially the president’s personal attorney, and I think she and the other folks at Department of Justice see it as part of their obligation to protect the president and the party from whatever might be in those files.”

"A U.S. judge on Thursday said Bank of America must face part of a proposed class action lawsuit accusing it of knowingly aiding Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking by providing banking services to the ‍disgraced late financier.

Rakoff said Epstein’s victims may pursue two claims accusing Bank of America, the second-largest U.S. bank, of knowingly benefiting from Epstein’s sex trafficking, and of obstructing enforcement of the federal Trafficking Victims Protection Act."

@kyledcheney

BLANCHE says 3 million pages of Epstein Files are coming out today. Plus thousands of videos and images.

Blanche: out of an abundance of caution so as not to violate the privacy of any potential Epstein victims, we redacted every woman depicted in every picture and woman except Ghislaine Maxwell. Did not redact any men.

Says today’s tranche release marks the “End of a very comprehensive documentation and review process”

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche says the DOJ is withholding Epstein files for "work-product privilege."

More than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images are included.

I 'started' when he said did not redact any men. How will we know. There are men that were also reported to have been trafficked as well there, those are ignored as this is all played out by the people in that world, not the unbiased and justice for the victim's world. The follow the money, which is the massive elephant is being ignored by focusing on the SA abuse. The money thread reaches around and through all countries and the people that attended and 'benefited' at Epstein's Island and 'networking'. IMO

Are the pages searchable? Sometimes things are, other times it's an image of text and isn't searchable. That'll save a LOT of time if you have a specific name(s) in mind.
