Visitors to Jeffrey Epstein’s New Mexico home may have been greeted at the entrance by a disturbing scene from the Bible, according to files released by the U.S. Department of Justice. The convicted sex offender, who died of an apparent suicide after his 2019 arrest for sex trafficking minors, commissioned a copy of The Massacre of the Innocents, a 1591 painting by Dutch Golden Age painter Cornelis Cornelisz van Haarlem.

The billionaire former Victoria's Secret CEO Les Wexner testified to the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday that he was "conned" by Jeffrey Epstein but denied any wrongdoing, according to a prepared statement provided to NBC News by a representative for Wexner.

The 88-year-old, who has been under fire over his many appearances in the Justice Department's records on Epstein, denied allegations he was Epstein's "co-conspirator." In his prepared statement, he told lawmakers that he "never witnessed nor had any knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activity." Wexner was testifying in response to a subpoena from the committee as part of its probe into the Epstein case...

Brunel was secretly negotiating in 2016 with lawyers representing Epstein’s victims, according to newly released Justice Department files. Brunel’s lawyer told them his client recruited girls for Epstein and had incriminating photographs. They discussed a date for Brunel to walk into the U.S. Attorney’s office in New York—in exchange for immunity…

It isn’t clear from the documents why Brunel ultimately kept quiet. What is clear is that Brunel didn’t cooperate with prosecutors and Epstein remained free for another three years, until he was arrested in 2019. He died in jail in New York in what was ruled a suicide by the city’s medical examiner.

After Brunel stopped negotiations, he wasn’t arrested and prosecutors didn’t pursue him further.

Brunel was arrested in 2020 in France, where French prosecutors were investigating him on allegations of rape and supplying girls to Epstein. He died in jail in 2022.

Prosecutors in Paris on Saturday said they would re-examine the case of Brunel and set up a special team to analyze evidence that could implicate French nationals in the Epstein case

"Millions of files related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein suggest the existence of a "global criminal enterprise" that carried out acts meeting the legal threshold of crimes against humanity, according to a panel of independent experts appointed by the United Nations Human Rights Council.

The experts said crimes outlined in documents released by the US Justice Department were committed against a backdrop of supremacist beliefs, racism, corruption, and extreme misogyny.

"So grave is the scale, nature, systematic character, and transnational reach of these atrocities against women and girls, that a number of them may reasonably meet the legal threshold of crimes against humanity," the experts said in a statement.

The experts said the allegations contained in the files require an independent, thorough, and impartial investigation, and said inquiries should also be launched into how it was possible for such crimes to be committed for so long."

The victims had otherwise to say about Wexner.

An FBI interview report related to Epstein in 2011 shows agents were told someone “provided an erotic massage to Leslie Wexner in New York.” ... statements in the interview overlap with those made elsewhere by Virginia Giuffre, one of the most prominent Epstein victims.

During a deposition for a civil case in 2016, Giuffre was asked whether Wexner was “one of the powerful business executives” to whom she had been trafficked. “Yes,” she responded.

2019 ... a victim said that Epstein had sexually assaulted her in Wexner’s home in Ohio, according to a court affidavit.

Wexner’s bodyguard in 1991 and 1992 ... He described Wexner as “best friends with Epstein,” and said he’d seen “young girls” at Epstein’s Palm Beach home ... “Adrian was told by another bodyguard to keep to yourself and not ask questions,”

In 2020 ... told the bureau she often saw Epstein and Wexner together. “Wexner would have models who could not have been over 18 years old do private viewings for him and Epstein,”

Another woman whose identity is redacted in a file told the FBI about sexual activity with Epstein and said, “There was a time where they flew into Aspen and Les Wexner and other girls went shopping.”

“You and I had ‘gang stuff’ for over 15 years,” Epstein wrote in a typo-filled letter addressed to “Les.” “I have never once, not once, done anything , but protect your interests. I owe a great debt to you, as frankly you owe to me.” The message added, “I had no intention of divulging any confidence of ours.”

As part of the investigation, we have today (19/2) arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.

"The man remains in police custody at this time.

"We will not be naming the arrested man, as per national guidance. Please also remember that this case is now active so care should be taken with any publication to avoid being in contempt of court.

"Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright said: “Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office.

“It is important that we protect the integrity and objectivity of our investigation as we work with our partners to investigate this alleged offence.

“We understand the significant public interest in this case, and we will provide updates at the appropriate time.”

Sounds like they wanted to give him an unwelcome birthday present.

The arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor comes on the same day that the former prince turns 66 years old.

I think this is in relation to him trying to dredge up dirt on Virginia Giuffre. I remember the police were looking into him using public resources for that. imo
He's been arrested on suspicion of committing misconduct in public office. That relates to his time as a trade envoy, and the allegation that he passed confidential documents to Epstein.

These types always play the victim while insulting the actual victims.

I’m not surprised. King Charles has never approved of his brother’s lifestyle or business dealings. He takes his job as king very seriously.

It is a little unusual that he made a public comment, though. He probably wants to clearly let the public know that he doesn’t support his brother. KC and William are no doubt fed up with Andrew. William is said to be furious.

Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell used his wealth to gain access to a prestigious boarding school for young artists in Michigan, using a rental lodge Epstein donated to the school as a base from which to recruit some of their earliest victims, according to Department of Justice records and former campus administrators.

The idyllic, nearly century-old Interlochen Center for the Arts .... with a series of large donations from Epstein that eventually totaled more than $400,000 over a 13-year period.

A woman, who testified at Maxwell's 2021 criminal trial, said in a lawsuit that she was 13 years old when she met Epstein and Maxwell at the school's annual summer Interlochen Arts Camp in 1994. She says they began a relationship that started with grooming and led to sexual abuse.

A few summers later, Epstein and Maxwell met a 14-year-old student who said her first contact with them at the school was the start of a manipulative and controlling relationship that lasted years.

Kathryn Ruemmler, who resigned last week as the top lawyer at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., corresponded with Jeffrey Epstein about a prostitution scandal that engulfed the US Secret Service during her tenure as White House counsel under former President Barack Obama.

In a dozen or so exchanges that were sent months after Ruemmler left her White House position in 2014, she complained to Epstein about “this secret service crap” and forwarded to him a draft email that contained detailed, nonpublic information about the behind-the-scenes role the White House Counsel’s office played in investigating the 2012 prostitution scandal.

Although Ruemmler had left the White House, she remained embroiled in the matter as lawmakers and journalists probed her work investigating the scandal. At the time she was under consideration for US attorney general.

Epstein offered advice, as well as what he described as “edits” to the email draft, which Ruemmler indicated she was planning to send to a journalist. “Breathe, smile. You’re free,” he wrote in one message.
